Support, while this may seem non-compatible with packages, in the end, it's just a mesh, meshes can be manipulated and warped, surely they can develop a joint system to make the arm of a package bend. |

"Too much lag"
You're an idiot. |
|
|

No support, let's be honest, someone will figure out a way and make it possible to twerk.. or do something else of an inappropriate nature. |
|

I would support if maybe there were 3-4 bends per part, and there weren't so many issues with the premise. Too many would cause extreme lag, and I'm sure the character model (internally) would be much harder to work with. They would have to totally remake the ROBLOX decal engine to allow the decals to flex with your arms and legs. Any weld script could cause a myriad of issues. All that and more leads this to be a hard idea to work with, seeing as how a complete restructure of the engine would be needed. |

You guys seriously don't understand that
A) It's not hard.
B) Won't lag
C) All it requires is bones in 3D models. |
|
|
@Der,
You don't understand that if they were to add bending in our characters, joints would have to be added in order to allow for the bending.
In lots of front page games that allow 30-50 people, the joints on every single individual character all combined would cause massive amounts of lag as well as crashes.
Also it's dumb. It's RoBLOX. BLOX. BLOCKS. |

I thought of this in the wrong way... |

"You don't understand that if they were to add bending in our characters, joints would have to be added in order to allow for the bending. "
1) Joints are already apart of Roblox.
http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=Joint
2) 3D models don't need joints. You need bones.
"In lots of front page games that allow 30-50 people, the joints on every single individual character all combined would cause massive amounts of lag as well as crashes."
No it wouldn't. If that were the case, then no FPS shooter would have ever been made. You need to education yourself before being stupid.

^ Der Is right. Characters need bones to bend and not joints |

Derp is mad not everyone spends their days studying code instead of going outside. |

Support, I doubt it'll cause a "lag fest" like someone mentioned above. |

"Derp is mad not everyone spends their days studying code instead of going outside."
Funny, considering this doesn't have to do with coding all that much. Also, I'm a comp sci major... So... |
|

OP just got that out of DerP.
OP probably didn't know before DerP replied. |

I support, although there is a high possibility for crashes with people with potato computers, like mine.
(it isn't much of a potato though) |

This is the worst idea.
Just to skim the surface of how bad it is; think of rendering 10000 polygons on your character, and how bad that will lag. Not only is it near impossible to achieve, but nobody wants this |

No support. |

No support,
you can just simply CSG a model of someone, CSG the bone and CSG the elbows and etc.
Plus it'll be scripted
ROBLOX is taking it to the "Next Level" but they are not ready for the "Next Next Ultimate Level"
they like updates but this won't be a good one, it'll be too complicated
if it does get made then they should probably add a disable body effects |
|
|
This is useless.
This also can break childrens computers.
