That video makes me sick...I realize I am all the way across the country and am hiding safe behind my computer screen right now just typing away, but that is just awful. Baltimore had better get their stuff together so this doesn't spread more. I never saw videos of the Ferguson riots, but if they were anything like this...My heart goes out to the bystanders of Missouri and Baltimore who have to live through this. |

I'm obviously extremely uneducated about what's going on in Baltimore, but is there a realistic chance we could see another civil war in the future with all this uproar about Michael Brown, Freddie Gray, and racial violence in general? |

No, it's not. The cops who arrested th eguy who died were black. The rioters are black. 80% of baltimore is black. This isn't about racial tension, this is about police brutality.

The problem here is more about the American mentality and its high level of violence rather than the fact that there are still black people around who are pissed about their people having been treated like crap for centuries in the past, even though racism among white people in America is almost nonexistant compared to the 1960s and before.
I don't think the entire Russian community of Helsinki would go on a riot if a Russian tourist was attacked and killed in Helsinki, nationalistically motivated or not.
