Alright, so I've been talking to my friend IRL about Roblox and he brought up how he met the perfect girl over ROBLOX. Naturally, I was skeptical, but he said they were quite serious and roleplay together. I think ROBLOX is a good start for kids to learn what a relationship is like, also teaching them a handful of things like how to treat your boy/girl.
This friend has been ODing her for 2 years, and she's planning on moving to our city to meet him.
Love is natural and shouldn't be discouraged. You can't stop someone from meeting their true love, right?

ODing is far more detrimental than beneficial.
First of all, this has already been stated, but there is a very heavy possibility that if a kid were to online date to another kid, one of these kids could be an internet predator in disguise. The kid on the receiving end of whatever creepfest this person decides to do would be in quite a bit of trouble.
Second, if there were no online predators, then this is still detrimental. A kid will get used to the mentality that their relationships can happen online and that isn't okay. You aren't hanging out with this person, you don't know what this person looks like, and you don't have a real connection with this person, in the sense connections can't be broken and online relationships can be ended by the mere clicking of a button.
Finally, this isn't a site for online dating and find your true companion online. This is a site meant for kids to play on and enjoy. This is also a sight meant for developers who have studied Lua to show off their skills and contribute to a community and give back to kids. If you came to Roblox expecting that kind of experience, please direct yourself to websites such as Christian Mingle and Black Meet. |

I'm pretty sure there is a law banning websites from online dating if they accept teenagers in their services.
Online dating is 17+ (safe to assume 18+, I'm unsure) guys. |

Yeah, I agree with you. I think players do more justice than mods since they don't care but I just thought of something. What if Roblox didn't have any "online dating" aspect? It would be a fighting game instead because Roblox right now is based off building and scripting and anything that happens is created by humans and this is what we humans chose to be, online daters, right? Maybe the no online date rule is not being inspected as much by the mods because the mods know that they caused games to be filled with role-playing games(Since that's where most online daters are anyways)
Now back then, I used to online date too in 2009 so I am kind of guilty of that until in 2010 where I became friends with vanish. He told me how online dating was wrong and I agree'd with him because it was a rule and I was not aware of it in 2009. So me and him went to role-playing servers and then I started exploiting like inputting an anti-online dating script and having admin commands and orbs. I changed from that point of view until the "OD'er" trend came by. I was a bit annoyed and was influenced by it. I wore a cosplay outfit that had the 2.0 package which the 2.0 did look like the anime character's torso, so I wore it. I even made a script tool about the cosplay outfit that belonged to the anime character's power. But then again, I was called an OD'er in a game where I was defending the No Online Dating rule because 2 people looked like they were "blox kissing" and I got kicked out of the game. I was pissed. I hate when people try to control you by name-calling your outfit so I stuck with a character they wouldn't name-call. Even if they did name-call, I would report them and try to get them banned as much as possible. So there's my story, sorry it was long
