Let's say an admin is in a server and many people try to enter at the same time, it could show a player how long they need to wait until they will get a spot.

a timer can't know when someone is going to leave a game so a new spot opens up

I think a better idea would be to have the place you are to join. So, if you are 1st in line before joining, it should tell you. If you're way back at 9th, it should tell you.
