whether or not they actually have the tool isn't the problem, but if kids want to brag about having hacks, they should deal with the consequences.
it's basically users bragging about how they're going to go bomb somewhere, it shouldn't be ignored and they should get terminated for it.
if not terminated the first time, then at least a warning with a 7 ~ 14 day ban telling them if they ever talk about owning an exploit they will be terminated with NO appeal option. |
|
|
I wouldn't say terminated right off the bat, because kids are impressionable and may not know to the full extent what they're doing. But after one or two warnings, yes, they should be terminated with no chance of appeal. |

support
but a termination the first time is a bit harsh. maybe a 3-14 day ban for 2 times before they terminate the account.

I support. The chain of ban should go like this:
1st: warning
2nd: stern warning
3rd: week ban
4th: terminated
5th: kicked off grand canyon without a parachute
6th: nuked from orbit
7th: forced to watch twilight
8th: forced to watch entire twilight series

Lol no.
Punishment with no visible violation of TOS? Even if they do have exploiting tools, they should not be punished until they actually use them.
Also, this would likely only anger the kid to making an alt account and using the exploit anyways in retaliation and/or spreading the tool throughout the populace to create a more wide-spread, real issue for roblox. |

police don't ignore a someone waving a gun around in public, just because they haven't used it doesn't mean they're not going to get punished for it. |

1) Open carry laws, a cop actually wouldn't care if you held a licensed firearm.
2) Even if it weren't, there's a HUGE difference between someone threatening to shoot up a place and someone exploiting an online video games. |

Let's make it "not cool" for 8 year olds to say they can hack people in response to them failing at games. |

Yeah I hate script kiddies |
|
|
"Punishment with no visible violation of TOS?"
The visible violation is the script kid admitting and proving proof for ROBLOX of breaking "•Do not cheat in games or use 3rd party cheat programs on ROBLOX". |
|
|
@rom
how is "open carry" the same as waving a gun around? you still keep the gun on safety and holstered, the whole point of having a concealed / open license is for situations where you need it.
i love how these people pull this card all the time, whether or not they're the same isn't the matter: it's the same premise, doing something against the rules that can threaten people. |
|
|
@op Support.
Would ban all 8 year olds saying they exploit and would help get rid of exploiters.
IP ban instead? |
|
|
@metaknight200
yea, except when they don't have a gun, a police officer can't arrest someone just because they said they have a gun. it'd be reasonable for an officer to shoot or arrest someone firing their gun illegaly, but it wouldn't if they only said they had a gun. kids can get mad and threaten to hack, but unless they really do it, you shouldn't terminate them, not even a 7 ~ 14 day ban, that's just too strict, you do realize this is a kid's game, right?
