It may not be noticeable to most, but it is to me.
I really pay attention to the overall speed of systems, though.

If you looked at the link I posted, that is benchmarks, you would see that Windows 8 in fact performs better than Windows 7.

While it is slightly in a lot of areas, it is faster.
Not to mention that Windows rarely makes changes, or new features(Windows 10 is an exception here)
And upgrades can fix numerous bugs that slow the system down.
Not to change the topic to other OSes, but OS X 10.11 is faster than 10.10, but it's currently in beta.
Linux never really slows down with newer kernels, if anything it's gotten faster in my experience.
Windows is overall slow compared to every other OS, but Windows 8 /is/ faster than 7. Both benchmarks and just comparing them yourself will prove this. |

Very few people on Roblox use Linux, it wouldnt be a good investment from roblox, as the effort required likely would be more costly than the profit they might receive from Linux users.
Also, anyone who uses a more complex kind of linux, i.e. arch or gentoo or something, know that you can easily convert the OSX version to run on most linux platforms. |

Linux is growing in popularity, and Valve is pushing for more games to be created/ported to Linux.
Also, I don't think anyone would bothering attempting to get the OS X version to run, as we already have a ROBLOX Linux Wrapper that runs the Windows version using Wine.
And I've truly never heard of anyone running an OS X program in Linux, especially a game, as the only translation layer that allows you to run OS X programs is Darling, and it's not nearly as good as Wine is. |

What are you talking about with Steam trying to get more games on Linux? They have been losing Linux users pretty steadily and have begun removing support and updates for current linux distros.

Linux is gaining popularity in business fields, but thats about it. And not even in personal work computers, its being used alot in larger server computers, like where amazon stores all its data and runs everything. And its really only chosen for security reasons. And its not growing that much. The statement that linux is getting more popular for the private user market is pretty much false, since that statement can be used for Macs or Chromebooks, which are essentially heavily modified versions of Mint.

All Valve created games have Linux ports. Numerous other games have been ported as well. SteamOS is Linux based. If Steam boxes become popular, Linux support will grow. Linux gaming is much better than say, three years ago, because of Valve.
And you can argue as much as you want, Windows 8 is faster, as shown by both benchmarks and anyone who has actively used both systems would notice that Windows 8 is much snappier, even on "systems that shipped with Windows 7 preinstalled"
The preinstalled OS will change nothing if you completely erase the hard drive and install a new OS.

And also, using an OS that is free does not make you a "cheapo".
It makes you someone who uses open source software. Does that make you cheap? No.
Open source software just allows you to view the code, edit it as you please, and redistribute, and I think that's delightful.
I'd much rather use an OS where I can change it to my liking and share it with friends without being called a "pirate". |

Put this in perspective. There are more registered Windows XP computers than there are Linux computers. I'm pretty sure Roblox won't add it any time soon. |

You have got to be kidding me, if you legit thought that website would give you any kind of virus/malware/adware etc.
Next time you try to destroy an OS for fun, at least use a few of your brain cells to find something thats obviously going to be bad for your computer, instead of adobe flash and a few toolbars. |
