In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
We shall remember those who have fought for the freedom. We remember those soldiers that gave there life during war to protect us. Because of them, we are here today. |

Holy who ever said "who cares" you should be ashamed of yourself.
This is the most famous poem from WWI and is always used in Remembance Day cerimonies and there are also song adaptions. |

I have lost all respect for you Americans. You say "Who cares?"? Well how about I remind you that 20 000 000 men, women and children lost their lives from 1914 to 1918. The First World War was a defining moment for the entire world, don't forget it. |

Yes, we were getting killed while your country wasn't doing a thing. DON'T say "Who cares?" or "Off-topic much" or "whats the point in this thread?" DONT. millions of people lost thier lives, this IS in the right forum, it's world wide event, and I'm going to my local remberence parade. |
