dubstep can be legit (nero), drumstep is a fusion genre so if you hate dubstep it's already implied you hate drumstep
emo rock isn't too bad, you could do far worse
saying you hate pop makes me assume you're so edgy

I'm guessing you mean bands like PTV and SWS when you mention this, but there's bands like BMTH, OM&M, ADTR, Suicide Silence, and a bunch of other deathcore/metalcore bands that get thrown around in the scene community that are somewhat enjoyable for most people.

you can hear interviews from other metal bands wondering how they are considered scene, yeah mitch looked scene (and became some kind of martyr in the scene's eyes lol) but "the other members of the band look like they belong to fear factory or machine head". their music (other than black crown) isn't scene either.
