As a Vaktovian, or VACCINE, it is your responsibility to respect and honor those around you, even if you do not wish to do so.
For five years this Empire has been alive, thriving on those who willingly serve it. However, in recent years, people have been beginning to portray Vaktovia as a 'declining' Empire- one that has lost it's original feel.
Yes, indeed, times are different, things have changed. But that does not mean we have to take it for worse, does it?
As a Vaktovian, or a VACCINE, you should know that one of our founding characteristics was our honor and very impressive skill that was known throughout the entire clan world.
To many, our honor has been lost since our transition from Helghast to Reapers. I would like to believe otherwise, as I have no true reason why I should think we are without honor.
Yes- our Supreme General has retired with little notice, but this is not the end to Vaktovia, not at all. In-fact, it is just another chapter in our dictionary-sized book; for we are going to change for the better.
Many things have happened since our Supreme General has departed from his glorious position;
- Highlord Sicarus (Ex-General Isadarias) has returned
- General Dologan has reclaimed the position of Supreme General temporarily
- The VAC Applications system has re-opened, allowing hopefuls to join the ranks
- Many new Officers-in-training have been announced
- Promotions have been given on a wide-scale to VAKs and VACs all around
This is only the beginning of yet another chapter in our world, but I will get back to what I originally was speaking about: honor and respect.
This idea that Vaktovia 'has no honor' is upsetting, and it shall cease. How is this possible whatsoever, you may ask?
I am going to issue a challenge to all Vaktovians and VACCINEs alike- a challenge to prove how honorable we can be, just to prove that Vaktovians have not lost their senses.
Here is the challenge:
The challenge is that for an entire week, beginning on Memorial day (or even today, 5/24/15 if you wish) Vaktovians and VACCINEs are to only fight 'honorably'.
A deeper explanation;
During ANY patrols, Vaktovians and VACCINEs are to only fight raiders with equal weaponry (Meaning if they are fighting with the starting gun, you fight them with the StA-54. StA-3 VS StA-3, etc.). A Vaktovian should not fight dishonorably just to get a simple kill on the enemy. So normally, the only weapon being used is the StA-54 by VAKs.
If a raider wishes to fight you with a sword- you fight him/her back with a sword! You shouldn't need to revert to cheap tactics (using your gun)! That's dishonorable, and unfair. If you wish to fight them with a gun, do so, but if they hold up their blade, you should too.
If you're at Ascendancy, just relaxing or practicing, accept any challenges given to you, whether it be a sword fight or gun fight. It won't only help the both of you improve on your skill, but it will help the two of you grow together as a family more.
This one should really go without saying, but since it is so commonly used already it might as well be apart of a challenge now. The raider arc should NOT be used by one taking this challenge. Fight them on even ground. Or, if you wish, don't even pass the broken bridge so that the raiders have a fair chance to breath.
Now, the ONLY exception that anybody can use all weaponry is if the server is outmatching the defending team. If it is 13v13, the defenders taking this challenge may utilize all weaponry. However, if it is 14v12 our favor, you revert back to normal weaponry (A.K.A. the StA-54.).
I don't expect EVERYBODY in VAK to follow it, though if some people wish to prove that they still have honor, they'll take this challenge up. If you wish to take this challenge (and approve of it) post on the forum:
"I, (rank and name here) will be taking this challenge."
Raiders can take the challenge too if they want? It really doesn't effect them if they take the challenge, but I would recommend as many VAK/VACs as possible to uptake this challenge. This is a game, and perhaps it's time this new generation see how the old generation functioned.
IF, however you take this challenge, you will receive an award for completing it (details will be shown later; raiders can even get the award if they want too..). Details about this medal will be released later on in the week.
