Major Nidal Malik Hasan, an Army psychiatrist stationed at the Killeen U.S. Army base, is alleged to have entered the Soldier Readiness Center, opening fire at approximately 1:30 p.m, and killing 13 people and wounding 30 others. Hasan was then shot four times by police and seriously injured. Following the shooting, Hasan was hospitalized on a ventilator, under heavy guard, and authorities had not yet determined the motivation for the shooting. He was a nutcase. No question... He was pretty high ranking in the army as well.
