if the preds didn't match the offer sheet given to shea weber (14 years, 110 mil), they would be out four first round picks and still been pretty bad

There was no chance the Predators wouldn't match it though. They weren't about to lose 2 faces of the franchise in one off-season. They would have had season ticket owners calling for refunds. Butch Jones is the real Messiah.

they would also get four first round picks which would be killer sam morin, seth jones, travis sanheim, kevin fiala, ivan provorov you pretty much have a top four defence right there not to mention what the preds could've gotten if they wanted to trade those picks

The only NHL ready ones out of that list is Seth Jones (Kevin Fiala is great but he still needs to get more experience imo) Our First line would be Josi-Jones. That would put 2 OFD on the first line which would have screwed Barry Trotz over. Butch Jones is the real Messiah.

that's what a rebuild is buddy. you get all very good young guys and all of sudden you're the most dominant team in the NHL
