Have you ever been annoyed by the fact that you want a cool username, but somebody took it in 2006 and then left forever? Well I have an idea to stop that.
If there is an account that has "Last Seen: Dec 31 2012 23:59:59" or before that, then that account will be deleted and the name will be able to be chosen again.
Don't say "users are more valuable than usernames" because I know that. It's just that ROBLOX is running out of usernames thick and fast. |

incorrect. They're are 36 different characters to chose from in a roblox username. There are so many different 4-20 character combinations, I doubt that you would get the same combination twice. |

If there are 36 characters to choose from and your name is 8 characters there are 30,260,340 choices. If you didn't repeat any characters there would be 1.22x10^12 choices. We will not run out of usernames.

While I can see where you're coming from this just isn't going to happen. What about legends like erik.cassel who need to be remembered and classics like Jane and John Doe?
Besides 2012 is really rather recent, loads of people could return after that time out, especially as Roblox continues to grow and becomes more popular.
Sorry to say it but users are more important than usernames. |

To people who quit: Have common courtesy and give your account away. If you don't, you're probably unsure about quitting and shouldn't try anyway. |

Or instead, roblox could make a feature to quit roblox and delete your account, then your username would be up for grabs again. |

The user should be removed after 5 years of not playing (or even visiting the website) ROBLOX. It's their problem, and why would they care about their username after leaving ROBLOX for so long? I don't think users should be allowed to leave ROBLOX for a very long time and STILL have their accounts. They quit, and it's proven by how long they left.
I also don't want people in the future to have names like 420coolguys12345lolpowar, because it's just ridiculous! |
