For games, genres are what define those games, however, ROBLOX has limitations which
which can still be expanded upon. Genres should be separated to Theme and Gameplay.
This will allow players to be able to choose a more relevant genre for their games.
Once it's implemented, players will be able to search for either the theme or gameplay
or both of them. It will allow more detailed searching and more relevant games.
Theme is the ambiance, atmosphere and aesthetic of the game
Gameplay defines the type of the game, on how it's played and the way it's played.
Various examples will give you an idea of how it works.
I'll be using those examples from ROBLOX to see how it can be cleared out better.
Examples of Theme:
-Comedy
-Horror
-Medieval
-Military
-Naval
-Sci-Fi
-Town and City
-Western
-Etc.
Examples of Gameplay Type:
-Adventure
-Building
-Fighting
-FPS
-RPG
-Sports
-Etc.
Many more can be added such as Fantasy, Retro, Eastern, Fictional; Racing, Minigames,
Platformer, Obby; etc.
So let me know how you think of this idea.
TL;DR suggestion edition
ROBLOX could make genres more varied by separating them into theme and gameplay.
It's not even that short, try reading it.
I'd like to see proper feedback on my suggestion that will not be much but be useful and helpful.
