Join a school choir next school year. Sounds cheesy but trust me, it helps your voice A LOT I am a baritone tenor II, which is reeeeeally good ***Even if you run... I will find you...***

choir will help show what your voice ranges are, get into a good melody, have people near you so you can match pitch easily, etc. Choir is a good choice

"its tone and technique in the beginning" This is important, yes. But if he is going to be singing, every song he learns has a specific range in it With range, it'll specify if he is a tenor, baritone, or bass (theres more but this is for starters) and you need a range to see how high or how low you can go Regular choirs, theres usually two to three sections if its a one-gender group and they all have different ranges Basses have the low range and tenors have the high range, baritones have both So yes, ranges are important for when you start singing ***Even if you run... I will find you...***

Try singing more often. The more you try the more you will get better. Buy some albums on iTunes and listen to the techniques that the artist uses. I used to sound like a high pitched whale and now I'm the best singer in my school class.

qq guys, above singing im an rapper, singing is just a side thing and im learning more of the rock-ish kind of singing, just for choruses maybe.I mean, its already *decent* but its not too great, i guess the biggest problem is hitting the high and long tones, when the singer goes like "Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" really high. qq
