The discussion might still be on-going, but I am reviewing this debate as of 4:03 PM American Time on 2/27/16. Not really a debate that requires high-level thinking here, more on the surface. Kobe immediately gets off to a bad start, taking too much from one statement by Rune and then proceeding to make points that didn't add anything. Rune chose his words carefully and was absolutely justified on just about every point he made. Nothing was assumed and he did well on the surface. I thought book started the debate very well, had some good responses, but completely started assuming too many unknowns in his 3rd post. Fire called him out on it.

The two are unconnected, Rune is simply pointing out who he believes lost their cool. You took that a bit too far, and assumed that Rune was making a claim about who's in the right and who's in the wrong.

First, he doesn't give Clinton a chance to respond. Clinton does well to keep things under control despite the raucous crowd, that shows a cool head rather than someone who's "flipping out." Second, what makes you say he has every right to flip out? His rant was completely off-topic and better saved for another time.
I'm not going any further on that because I simply grade the discussions, I don't really care to partake in them. I'll relay what I saw from a person's argument if he or she so wishes, but I take a neutral standpoint. If you don't agree with that, you don't have to pay attention to my decisions. |

It's kind of hard to make a judgement on this because I actually participated in the discussion myself, and I was against Kobe. It was mostly opinionated, Kobe, Storm, H26 believing the image was "disgusting" and others believing otherwise. However, a driving point Kobe was making was that "[the LGBT community] were mocking a battle which 20,000 marines died in." This is willful ignorance more than anything, the LGBT community is just celebrating a victory. Still, Kobe's argument is mostly opinion-based and while the entire thread is kind of stupid, he did enough to not get a loss. Book gets a win here, and I won't grade on anyone else because there are too many people in this one.
