I come to S&I everyday to try to hear wisdom from the ROBLOX community, not to hear you whine because you think the 2010 UI was better.
I agree, old ROBLOX was wonderful, it had a charm that can never again be matched. I remember waking up every morning, speaking to my family, and then come and play classic ROBLOX for hours at a time. I remember seeing very modest ads, usually with an amateur comic panel-style image. I remember when Miked was the first to achieve 1 million visits with his paintball shooter game. For crying out loud, I remember when Erik Cassell was still ALIVE. I remember when Shedletsky was under the username Telamon. I remember when the hotbar was just clearish boxes with images on them.
But that ship has sailed, and it's out of our field of view now, and forever. Some may not like to admit it, but ROBLOX has improved TREMENDOUSLY over these past 10 years. Back in 2007-2008, the ROBLOX engine couldn't safely load more than 12,000 bricks without crashing. Now 12,000 bricks is considered a "short" game. The community has it's bad apples, but I remember in 2010 being introduced to sword fighting, then in 2011 I was invited to many sword clan groups EVERY DAY because of my skill in the arena.
My point is, change the channel from yesterday. Yesterday isn't as great as today. |
