I. Introduction
The following is the employee handbook dedicated and intended for the staff and members of the film and game designing company Crawfly Entertainment, as of the 18th of June, 2015. This handbook is designed to coordinate and designate newer and veteran members to be able to function and thrive within the company. If you have any lingering questions after this rather extensive thread, you are welcomed to get in touch with me via private message, party, or the YouTube messaging system. Let's get started.
II. Employment
To be recruited by Crawfly Entertainment, WE will give YOU a window to join, you will not create one yourself. The only way that you will be able to be employed is to wait until we HAVE positions that need to be filled. When that inevitable event occurs we will most likely post a thread on this very same Game Design subforum included with information on what we want from you. From there we will need examples of your work, whether that would be a building showcase, an example of art, or a sample script. If your work is acceptable we will give you information on your pay, and status in the company. If that is accepted you will be able to join Crawfly Entertainment for a month. At the end of the month the current employees as well as myself will discuss whether or not you would be an important asset to the company. Then, finally, we will vote. If the majority vote is yes, you will be accepted as a full member. If the majority vote is no, you will be exiled from the company, and you will not be able to rejoin, with no exceptions.
III. Worker-to-Worker Community
During your time in Crawfly Entertainment, working and communicating with other employees is required. Here are a few rules to create community within employees, under a certain limit.
1. Respect employees at all costs. Failing to do so will cause severe drops in pay, as well as termination of employment.
2. Do not ridicule or even discuss payments and rankings to other employees. Your pay given to you at Crawfly Entertainment is a staple of how well you cooperate in the group, and should not be discussed to anyone else besides me or the Vice President. Two examples of this are, "Wow, why does ___ get higher pay than me? I talked to him/her and he/she said he/she gets way higher pay than me!", and, "Why does ___ get to be this high of a rank when I'm so much lower?" Failing to do so will cause severe drops in pay, as well as termination of employment.
3. Workers should not discuss heavy amounts of work-related topics outside of the group wall, or meetings. Small, unimportant events is allowed, but keep it to a certain level. Failing to do so will cause severe drops in pay, as well as termination of employment.
4. Do not break any of the standard Roblox rules. This includes bullying other employees, vulgar language, taking and giving of personal information, and online dating. I would hope that the employees that Crawfly Entertainment hires would be above such childish acts. Failing to do so will cause severe drops in pay, as well as termination of employment.
5. Do not abuse your powers within the company. This involves spamming on the group wall and status, and giving out classified info to the general public that is only to be discussed to the staff. Failing to do so will cause severe drops in pay, as well as termination of employment.
IV. Assigned Work
Like all employees, what you will be doing is work. Your work will be classified by your ranking (builders will build, artists will make art). Work will largely be assigned via meetings or private messages. The notice of assignment will include the information of your job, when it is due, and the pay value it is worth. If you fail to do your job within the given time, your pay will be DECREASED by the pay value, and if you succeed in doing so, your pay will be INCREASED by the pay value. Here is an example of a notice of assignment for a builder.
"Dear, ___
You are to build a ___ for the game/film ___. Your assignment is to be finished by ___, and the pay value is _%. If you do not finish by ___, your pay will be decreased by _%. If you do finish, and it is acceptable, your pay will be increased by _%. Thank you, and please do your best.
- ___"
V. Pay
During your month-long internship at Crawfly Entertainment, you will be given no pay. However, if you are accepted for a full job, you will start at 7% of group revenue. However, with assignments, and participation in meetings, your pay will go up and down, depending on how responsible you are. The limit for pay is 15%. After you reach that you cannot get higher, however, you can go lower.
VI. Termination of Employment
A termination of employment is the act of stripping away all of your powers at Crawfly Entertainment, including pay, rank, and credit within projects. The termination of employment can be triggered by two main events.
1. If you break any of the rules listed in section III of this handbook repeatedly, with no signs of stopping or remorse.
2. If you do not finish your work in the given time repeatedly. This shows us you are not committed or responsible, which are 2 needed characteristics to be in Crawfly Entertainment.
VII. Conclusion
I do not have much left to say, as pretty much all of it was explained in this thread. All I have left to say is that I hope this helped you with various issues and unanswered questions you may have had about being in Crawfly Entertainment. If you still have questions, again, you are always welcomed to get in contact with me, or any members of Crawfly Entertainment. Thank you, and have a good day.
