[Prologue:July 17th, 1243.]
Across the known world, there is peace and prosperity. But below a small village in England, condemned beasts of all sorts are gathering. Among them demons, dragons, beasts of uninmaginable horror, and many other gruesome creatures. Then when they came up from the flames of the underworld, they brought war, chaos, destruction, and pure evil. They conquered the known world, nearly wiping out humanity.
[Chapter 1:The Tale begins. August 19th, 1278.]
For 35 years, the beasts have ruled the world. But our tale does not begin with the beasts. It begins in a small village, hidden in the many mountains of Italy. There, a young man arrives, bruised, battered, and heavily bloodied. The village healer takes him in, with the others asking,"Who is he? What is he doing here?" The elders remembered an ancient prophecy.
The prophecy was worded like this,"In humankind's darkest hour, a man shall arrive, nearly dead, in a village. He will be our savior, but not alone. He will gather with him several, and travel to destroy the darkness."
Soon, the man is healed. The village elder comes up to him, and asks,"Who are you?" The man responds,"I am Regulus. Regulus Gamma. I wish to thank you for your hospitality, but I must get to my family." Regulus goes to walk of, but the elder puts his hand on his shoulder, and stops him."You are not strong enough. Stay a little while, until you are stronger." Regulus responds,"Yes, wise elder. I will stay a while, but as soon as I am strong enough, I will head back to my family."

Walking down the main lane of the village, Regulus spotted a man sporting a very bloodied iron dagger. Regulus walked up, and said,"Hello. May I ask you your name?" Then man responded,"I am Edward Tude, otherwise known as The Insane Quack Doctor. Do you need a surgery?" Regulus said,"Erm...no. Are you a surgeon?"
"Why yes. You sure? I saw you come in, and you looked very battered."
"I am better now.", but before Regulus knew it, he was strapped to a table, with Edward seeing which of his instruments would be needed. |

[Chapter 3:Writing in blood.]
Right as Edward was going to cut Regulus open, a mysterious figure bursts in, and punches Edward full in the face. That person was Gabriel Angelus Mortis, more commonly known as Gabe. Regulus just stared, unable to move. Edward stood up and said, in his formal manner,"Why are you disturbing my surgery?" Gabriel responded,"That man has a bounty on his head. And I was hired to take him out." Regulus just gawked. His past catching up with him so fast. The assasin drew his weapon, a short dagger, and went to stab Regulus in the heart. |

[Chapter 4:Jobless Saviors.]
Right as Gabriel was about to stab Regulus, two people burst in, one a warrior of sorts, and the other a bodyguard of sorts. The body guard kneed Gabriel in the groin, then the warrior unstrapped Regulus. The bodyguard was an assasin named Hijju Inuzuka, and the warrior was actually the jobless Adam Skindizer. It was now 4-on-1. Gabriel ran out the door, and into the mountains. |

[Chapter 5:A classic tavern scene.]
The makeshift group walked into the tavern, and sat down for some drinks. A thief, whose name was Brian Farsonner, reached into Hijju's pocket, but Hijju spun around and punched him in the face. Aparently Brian was intoxicated, so he took a fighting position. Regulus stood between the two, telling them to knock it off, but Brian kicked Regulus in the leg, tripping him. Edward grabbed his dagger, jumped onto Brian, and stabbed him in his leg. Adam just watched, drinking his ale, at the brawl that had developed. For a wounded angry drunkard, Brian was brawling very well. |
