disturbed is hard rock nowadays, don't see how that makes you guys a metalhead.
i'm not even one of those "nu metal is not metal" people but parts of indestructible and the entirety of asylum aren't metal. believe is their most metal album. |

Do your really need the context? Why not just don't assume things :P For all you know I have heavier tastes than you do. Besides, Disturbed and Slipknot are far from my favorite bands. |

context does matter
if i said, "i love eminem, i'm a huge hip-hop/rap fan!" would you think i'm one of those mainstream-only people? chances are yes. without the context, you loving disturbed and you claiming to be a legit metalhead are directly related. it's pretty much amplified by the stereotype of disturbed/slipknot fans thinking they are the most metal thing in existence (even though i like both bands)
i doubt your tastes are heavier than mine but i understand that isn't the point of you saying it so i'm not going to say too much about that |
