Introduction:
Basic Military Training is the first step of the process that molds any individual into the fighting force within the United States Military. The document is consisted of rules and regulations that the Recruit Division Command must follow when advancing through these exercises.
Beginning:
Before the BMT starts, there must be a minimum of 2 recruits (E1-E3) present at the authorized Naval Base. However, it’s recommended that 4 recruits are present before starting the BMT. To ensure the recruits that have already arrived are occuppied, have them conduct facing movements until the appropriate amount of recruits arrive to start the BMT.
- To host a BMT the instructor must be an RDC or higher in the NETC (Naval Education and Training Command) group.
- All recruits that wish to participate in the BMT must be wearing Navy NWUs.
- The chosen place must be an official United States Navy base.
- If you start the BMT with the minimal number of people, and they start to leave, you don’t need to stop the training, you can continue with it even with 1 person left, if necessary.
Physical training:
The physical training is basically done by running through course sections with the recruits. After the recruits have complete Course 1,2, and 3, have them complete the tower and 20 Counted out laps in the pool.
- It’s important to pay attention to not allow people who fail to continue, they must start the failed obstacle again.
- Cheaters are to be punished, JJs are a suggested punishment.
- Trolls are to be dropped from the BMT immidiately.
- If someone gets to the BMT late, during the physical training, the instructor can choose to allow the late trainee into the training, but they must do at least one obby section to be included and to continue with the others. Late trainees that arrive after the physical section, cannot be allowed into the BMT.

- Promotions ceremony
When the training is over, the instructor in charge must make sure all trainees are in proper Service Dress Blues for their ranks. They must be wearing the correct formal assigned to their current rank. Then the instructor must march the recruits to the parade square. The instructor and other RDCs then get up on the pulpit. The instructor will command the recruits to face the American Flag and to salute it throughout the playing of the National Anthem. After this, they will then be faced to the Navy flag to salute it during the playing of the Navy Hymn, "Anchors Aweigh". They will then face the instructors and the ceremony will commence. One by one, the recruits will be called up to recieve their advancement (if they earned it). Finally, before the recruits are dismissed. The head instructor or assistants should go over to each trainee and ask them what COMMAND they would like to join. The recruits must not be persuaded or pressured to make their decision by any members! |
