That is IT, I am tired of 32 bit Roblox! Even with a great pc, it doesn't matter if it will never use more pc resources! Will there be/is there a 64 bit roblox studio and/or player/client? |

OP has bacon hair
OP is a 2014'er
OP doesn't realise that 35 - 45FPS is enough
OP didn't make a suggestion in main body
OP just complained
Fix this now. Until then, no support.

Alright, What I am suggesting Is a 64 bit Roblox player. When you said "30-45 fps is enough", that is not entirely true. But what I want is a 64 bit Roblox so we can all get less lag, better and more stable fps rates with good graphic settings, etc. Even though I have a good pc, I can't get Roblox to use more pc resources (e.g. Utilize the GPU and CPU, use more threads, use more ram, etc). A 64 bit Roblox would be an advantage for people who use 64 bit computers, like me. I mean really, 32 bit is for 32 bit computers, and who still has a 32 bit computer? So, an option to choose 32 or 64 bit Roblox would be nice, so for instance a "RobloxPlaye64bitBeta" download for those who choose it and have a 64 bit pc.
OP knows OP means Original Post(er)
OP fixed that he has bacon hair.
OP likes bacon.

Oh, and I also know that 45 fps makes for un-smooth animations and game play. You can't just run an render/update for 1 1/2 seconds. (I mean just look at the difference between 32 bit java and 64 bit java, 64 bit is worth it!) |

When I said "OP fixed that he has bacon hair", I mean "OP knows" |

this will not impact performance at all, do you even know what 64 bit and 32 bit means?
64 bit me-
oh wait.

Yes, I do know what 64bit and 32bit means and is. If you are saying that 32/64 bit roblox will not make any difference, then whatever. But if you are saying 32 bit and 64 bit anything does not make a difference, you are very wrong. Just wow. But taking a look at some programs, for instance 64 bit chrome does so much better, especially with webgl and script performance. |
64 bit allows you to use more memory, have larger integers and use more resources such as CPU (during testing I saw that a 32 bit app that was taking up a lot of cpu wasnt able to use more than 75% of my CPU, while the 64 bit was using 99%) |

I daresay most people here don't even understand the difference, and start raging because they use x64 on x32 systems. |
@Seth
Yes, and even though 64 bit programs can take up more CPU time and threads, 64 bit at 90% does better than if 32 bit could use 90%. But what is kinda weird is that when I run roblox player, the CPU usage never really goes above 40%, for roblox player. I have even adjusted settings both for the games rendering and such, and with task manager, but I cant get it to use more resources. That is the purpose of 64 bit. I mean come on, even when I try to put roblox player to the limits, I can't push it to take advantage of extra resources! |
I believe 40% means its using one of your entire CPU core.
Do remember you probably have 2-4 and that not every app uses more than 1 core unless needed |
The lag is probably your internet, not roblox. I have bad internet so mine has lag, but my friend has great internet and not much lag at all |
64Bit will not increase your FPS.
Probably bait anyway. |
And even on a Intel i7 extreme hexa-core with HT, and at 4 ghz, also with a GTX titan Z, you still couldn't make roblox actually use all that tremendous power. Sure you would get good performance but not what it could do with 64bit! |
I'm not just talking about FPS here, I am talking about over all performance, e.g using more threads, more ram, etc. |
But for multithreading 64 bit does allow more |
yeah using more threads and cores would mean better performance though. It'd take less time to compute physics and so on |
Well, with lag, I don't think I have any Internet problems, I could guess that any real lag is server lag and again, the non core utilizing 32bit |
When Roblox needs more than 4 GB of RAM, then maybe.
Also, 32Bit supports multi-threading anyway.
If you computer can't handle 60 fps, that your computer being slow. |
oh and in mine craft i load 1 frame per second some times, so much lag! |
Because lag is when the CPU or GPU has to put things in a Que because its already running at its max usage and thread CPU time, so it has to delay other threads based on priority listings. |
My computer can handle 120+ fps on Minecraft with med-high settings. Its not really my pc, its the program. I almost never get hardware lag, just software lag and low performance. And in case you are wondering, no I am not recording, because I know how much of a hit recording takes on a GPU and hard drive. |
Lag means your computer is slow, clearly the processor can't hold as many applications as you are running, or your CPU is overheating.
I am done here. |
