This is a short bill, so it will not require sections.
The MPD and SWAT are VERY inactive. It's VERY rare to see them on the team they have. Infact, the MPD never goes on its team. SWAT is supposed to be active. We all know what SWAT does, but they don't do it.
I believe the inactivity is influenced by the MPD which is why I want to unmerge SWAT and the MPD. There's nothing we can do about the MPD. Honestly, SWAT has a lot of potential. I believe that unmerging SWAT and MPD will give SWAT more activity.

You would cause more drama within this messed up nation, wouldn't you? On top of everything else, some kid creates a bill to seperate SWAT and MPD. First of all, you don't know ANYTHING that goes on within the department. You have almost no reason to seperate us two. SWAT and MPD have very tight relations, and we all get along as a family.
If you try to seperate our family, I'll gladly fight back without a doubt.

Here's something else for you;
1) SWAT says "Special Weapons and Tactics team" not "Metro SWAT" or "MPD SWAT"
Therefore, MPD and SWAT should be separate.
2) SWAT (last I checked) has a team at LV, MPD doesn't.
MPD can't effectively manage them where they have 0 jurisdiction.
So why keep them merged? I PARTIALLY support Square's point, but for the most part, no. |

I'd encourage all Senators who have even an ounce of reason to vote 'Nay' to this bill.
(1) It doesn't do anything, there is no official text, so I honestly can't believe that the House passed this.
(2) This won't promote activity and is not even true. The Metropolitan Police have been exceedingly active and has been operating at not one, but TWO cities.
(3) It's not within the powers of the FEDERAL Congress to disband a MUNICIPAL law enforcement department.
I voted for many of you Senators, and this is not what I voted for you to do.
MPD/SWAT are a family, don't try and break it. |

I'm going to be abstaining because I don't have any statistics and don't really know if what stated is true.
Square and the person who made this bill would be both biased in this case which is why we need statistics and other facts. |

I was in SWAT three times, mate. Just because I'm in IO doesn't mean I was never in SWAT.
I was in SWAT during merge, and before merge, and I definitely side with it being better without being merged. |

Phyxia, you were only in SWAT before the merge, you have no idea how active we are.
Also, I'd like to point out that Congress cannot regulate a subsidiary of a city council.
