Hey ROBLOX admins. You know what would be great? If you would actually read good ideas for once rather than just ignore them. This WOULD make ROBLOX a better place for groups and builders. |

This should happen, I need this, Equal marriage was passed ( I hate to admit it ) and we still don't have the rainbow here.
I right now work on several morphs that are not the right colors.
I need a bone yellowish white, I need a darker grey, I need more black shades, Definitely more reds and blues. |

1. Yes we do.
2. What relevance does that have >.>
Anyways, support.
am i right gentlemen? |

consider this supported by me, im not sure what technical limitation would prevent doing it already and the colour limitations bugged me (pun intended) for several years now |

There are no technical limitations. The only reason that we have a bunch of new colors to play with is because ROBLOX gave us an extra data bit to play with.
Streaming the extended brick color palette (128 colors) to the client takes 7 bits per a brick. Streaming a 'color wheel', as you are suggesting, would cost us 24 bits per a brick.
This is a couple hundred KB difference, but considering that ROBLOX has a ton of active players, the cost of bandwidth can really add up. Also, games would take a small while longer to load. |

Am I correct in assuming you'd like the complete RGB spectrum of 16,581,375 colors to be handled by the rendering engine, resulting in something along the lines of 150x more work than the current 128-color system takes, resulting in that much more lag for every single game? Not to mention breaking every script that has ever used the BrickColor system unless ROBLOX were to name and number every one of the aforementioned 16,581,375 colors.

@ThatChristianGuy
The difference in data usage from a 7-bit color palette to a 24-bit color palette is in the range of a couple of KB at most.
Although, considering that ROBLOX has around 62 million hours of playtime every month, the costs might really add up in the long term. |

Support. This function is needed. Fo sure! |

Looks like we mostly got what we wanted. A much broader selection of colours. Shame it isn't the colour wheel, would have been better but it's a start! |
