Those were their best albums.
But i liked their first album.
and grunge came from both punk and sludge rock, which is what nirvana got perfectly. |

i viewed nirvana more as noise rock with nvm and in utero but metal with their first album |

But the movement had an idea of a type of music that was a mixture of sludge rock and punk. |

But the thing is, some bands in the movement are more melodic, like pearl jam and soundgarden, and some are more doom-y like alice in chains (imo) |

And tbh grunge is better than nu-metal by a long run. |
