Ola.
This idea is simple, and not exactly needed, but would be a nice feature. It is to add a "Do not over-shout" option to group shouts. It could be put below the "Enter your shout!" type box thingy.
Basically how it would work is say the group owner has an important message, and he doesn't want anyone to over-shout his shout. There could be a check box under the "Enter your shout!" type box. It would automatically be set to unchecked, but if the user wants, he can check it and no one under his rank could over-shout it until either he shouts over again with the box unchecked, or there could be an option to un-check the box.
If not a check box, there could be a lock to lock/unlock it. Or buttons. Or whatever you want it to be. I prefer either the check-box or lock/unlock options.
Now before people start saying on this thread that group high ranks/middle ranks (HR's and MR's) would be trolling, I have an option for that. There could be a setting found in the "Group admin" page. There would be two options:
Option 1: Don't allow a lock option for shouts.
Option 2: Allow specific ranks to use the "locked shout" feature.
I think this would just be a small bonus for groups to have. I can't exactly think of any pros or cons for this idea except a few.
Pros:
-Would allow a certain shout to stay up
-Probably good for "war" groups and their leaders.
-Probably good for development groups like Innovation Inc., SO Studios, etc. (Yes, these two dev groups are part of my list of favorites)
Cons:
-Trolls would probably use it to their advantage, but at the same time would probably get a warning from the group owner, demoted to a lower rank, or exiled so they won't be able to do it again.
-May cause issues between group ranks who can use the feature.
I probably missed some, but i'm sure you'll think of them if I did. I honestly don't know anymore than that. I also don't know if you'll want to put a price on it, even though it's such a small feature. If you do add a price, i'd make it 10-15 R$ only.
Thanks for reading!

Good. |

>hacker sets himself to owner
>hacker sets REAL owner as the lowest rank
>hacker checks the box then shouts "shouts disabled foreverz lolz" and never shouts again. |
|

If the hacker set himself as owner, the group's lost anyways. |

lolman, you are talking about an extreme case. |

and lolman, like people said, if they hack the group the group is a lost cause. |
|

@lolman That has to be a really good hacker. If he did hack, ROBLOX would probably know it and ban that hacker from ROBLOX. The hacker would only be able to come back to ROBLOX then through another computer. Also, in my 3+ years on ROBLOX, I have never heard of anyone being able to hack like that, lol.

An extra idea: How about allowing the owner to allow his/her HRs to do that too? He/she can overshout their shouts at anytime, though. |

This paragraph basically stated that.
