Even SlingShotJunkie agrees.
Post count has kinda ruined the purpose of the forums, if you look around.
Botting is just one of many problems to this.
There should just be a new and simpler way to design the outlines of how someone is considerably famous on the forums. Join date is good enough. Lots of 06'ers with less than 100 posts are on the top 100 rters. But I feel like a piece is missing. Possibly favoriting forums or something. Now you may think people can be abusive with it, but staff is smarter than to let that happen. The producers of ROBLOX have already nailed the prevention of game liking abuse. |

Post Count should be placed with 'Likes' or 'Respect' (whatever you want to call it)
Basically what I mean by this is there should be an option in the forums to like or dislike a certain post.
The amount of likes they get is added to this new feature.
I know how this could be abused as well, but if the user gets a dislike, they lose one of these points |

the entire forums section needs an overhaul
like replying with quotes and emojis and colored writing and different fonts
the post count has been broken for a while now
there could be something like a "Blox up"(play on words of "thumbs up")
basically you can "Blox up" any thread you see and that person will have it added to their "Blox up" count, this would tell you people that are popular, and not garbage posters

I don't think the post count should be removed. I personally, and I don't think I'm the only one, love to see my/other's post count. If there are people spamming, report them. Others should not have to suffer because someone didn't press the report button.

@xx;
That can be easily abused. All I would have to do is not support someone's thread for them to make tons of alts and 'Blox down' me, thus giving me a bad rep. I would have a really bad rep, because I end up not supporting a lot of posts.

To also incorporate what red said, you could "Blox down" a post too.

I like the simplicity of the forums. I don't think we should be able to change fonts or add emojis, but we should certainly be able to use simple rich text tools such as bold, underline, and italics. |
There can be a rule like an account has to be at least 1 day old to like/dislike
Similar to how they have to be 1 day old to comment |

"
then just make it so people with bad rep can't vote on posts, i think that's what other sites do
so if you have like negative 3 rep you can't vote on posts or post |
also you won't be able to vote on posts until your post count is >100 |
Updates will come one day... |
So all I have to do is get into one argument to be banned from voting?
Holy crap, there would be trolls everywhere.
I'm trying to find a logical solution, but Murphy's Law comes into play.

actually, no
people don't vote on posts, they vote on threads
they can even add another check so if you downvote more than 5 threads in a day then you can't vote for x period of time
there's a logical solution, it's just tricky to perfect |
I think this is getting too complicated. |
the simplest thing is to make it so you can only vote up threads and downvotes don't even exist |
Again, all I have to do is make one thread that makes someone mad and I'll be banned from the forums.
As you said it would be tricky, that's another thing. I'm pretty sure Gibbo mentioned how he likes how simple the forums are. I agree with him. The forums shouldn't be like a board game with all of these rules and features. I like to be able to spread my imagination, rather than have it in a confined space. I don't know if that made sense, but it did to me.

Or something that shows a post's positive reaction by calculating the number of repliers and likers. |

ok then we just make it so u can only upvote threads which count towards your total upvote count |
Ok, only upvotes. And, as mentioned prior, a minimum ≥ 100 post count would be required to vote.
I still don't think post count should be removed, though.

yeah i might make a thread later suggesting a "Blox up!" feature where you can just upvote posts
definitely can't vote until 24 hours after an account is created and >100 posts so people don't abuse alts |
Do I have permission to make such a thread?
GG. Next! |
yes but make it extremely elaborated
like with an FAQ system so people don't say "abusable"
something like
"Can't people abuse this with alts?"
A: No, they have to have greater than 100 posts |
I don't think I'll do a FAQ type thing, but I will definately add that stuff into the post.
Thanks for permission btw.
