How to Fix the Avast Joining/Install Issue

This is how I did it and thanks to ProgrammingUniverse, and his method, I am just making it more precise as I was confused myself at first at his instructions as well. I guarantee you this will probably work for you as I tried many other methods and it didn't work till this one. This will fix: 1. Go into Avast and click Scan on the left hand side and then scan for viruses. 2. On the right hand bottom corner you will see Quaratine (Virus Chest), click it. 3. Highlight everything to have to do with Roblox. For example mine was RBX-RANDOMNUMBERS. Launchers and all too. Just look at things having to do with Roblox. An easy way to highlight is to click on the first then scroll to the last and hit ctrl shift. 4.Right click once you have highlighted them all at the SAME TIME. You will see the option "restore and add to excursions." Click it and press yes. If it tells you to overwrite hit overwrite all. 5. Once all of that is done wait for 1-5 minutes. Surf the web for a little. 6. After this turn off the shields for 1 hour. To do this right click the Avast icon which should be on the bottom right hand of your computer where the icons are for sound and all. It is an A. 7.Right click and then scroll to the option disable for 1 hour (DON'T CHOOSE ANY OTHER OPTION). 8.Download Roblox or join a game, whatever is the problem, and it will download or update, and you will be in the game. 9. By now you should be able to play games, and after the shields are back on, you will still be able to. Lots of thanks to ProgramUniverse!

This might not work for everyone. Some people don't have the RobloxPlayerLauncher.exe in their virus chest. If not, then do mine. http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=167167220

It does work. I don't have that either, and I still used this method. That was why I didn't use the other people's methods.

i dont have anything related to roblox in the chest all i have is bae3.tmp but i'll give it a go with that one

Updating with another method instead that isn't as good as the one above, but still. Method 2: Instead of the excursions delete it all then activate shields. DON'T TRY THIS METHOD FIRST AND IT ISN'T 100% GURANTEED. The one above works way better.

That is the biggest problem. The files should be there for the first method to work. Try downloading Roblox again from any game with your shields off.

i did that but now files like dmp4 and bae3 are showing up not roblox files

What? They are showing up as different files? Did you hit restore and add to excursions>yes>and if needed overwrite all? That should NOT HAPPEN. If you are sure you did all of that and it's still like that (I had no one experience that problem before, send me a pic.

When I download it, it just sends me to the games page and I still cant join any game. Yes I turned my shield off and checked the quarantine, nothing was there.

Ugh, you shouldn't have deleted the files. Check it the files are back after the download, and if they are turn the shields back on and do all the steps listed above.

@Midnight If you want to go search Avast in your computer and delete every single file of Avast (some are placed elsewhere). This is if you don't want Avast though.

i think roblox needs to just reset their launcher downloader because someone obviouosly hijacked it to give out a evo-gen virus to steal people's roblox accounts
