parts of sharia law I enjoy:
An injured plaintiff (a private citizen) has the options of forgiving or exacting
legal and literal revenge — physical eye for physical eye.
The hand of a male or female thief may be cut off.
A highway robber may have his alternate hand and foot cut off.
False accusers of crimes that involve forced physical relations may be flogged eighty times
Sharia law for murder allows the death penalty, but is kinder than western law in one respect - after judicial judgement has been made, appeals are then allowed to the family of the murdered victims, and they are begged to be merciful.
Sharia law basically is made to benefit the community rather than the individual (unlike here where the individual can abuse the system.

But, every religion has it's bigots. It seems to me as if Islam is misunderstood by a minority of Muslims, and of course there are other factors. |
