Unanchor seats to sit on them directly, and not float on them. Stick it to the chair by welding.

Tip #2:
If you receive "Union unsolvable errors" when unioning parts together, try to union with different parts first before combining the main parts you want together in the main union.
That way you can "bypass" the annoying unsolvable error messages. |
|
|
Tip 3:
When positioning your parts instead of using 1 Stud or 1/5 Studs try to position your parts by using values like 0.025, 0.5, 1. 1.25 etc.
With this you get a significantly greater precision in placing parts. |
|
|
Remember to first insert a Block Mesh into a brick in order to resize it to it's smallest point. If you don't insert that Mesh, it won't be able to be resized smaller than .02 |
|
|
Plan before you build, always plan it before you start building it for a thorough building session. |
|
|
@Alect
Your tip 3 is useful only for when you need to be precise.
Don't use small increments when you're moving a group of parts long distances, because it may do more harm than good.

I agree with above. Especially since players new to building sometimes select the x button over 1/5 1/2 etc of a stud. This often makes their work less precise as they can't get anything lined up.
Building Tip
Always anchor the baseplate |
|
|
Remember to anchor everything that you don't want flying all over the place or being moved, it seems like a no-brainer but it's a common mistake :P |

If you want to easily make a brick less than .2 studs,
1. Create a MASSIVE brick, really really big.
2. Put a .2 .2 .2 brick on one of its corners (anywhere really, just as long as you can see it)
3. Union both the .2 brick and the big brick together
4. Resize the union down as small as you can get
5. Seperate it.
6. Delete the bigger brick
7. The smaller brick is now veeery tiny, you can't even see it, so try to find it in Workspace!
I love shorts! They are so comfy and easy to wear! |

use free models to make a whole game
-I'm talented without the talented part. |
|
|
Tip:
If you want a really small brick, click on a part and go down on the tab "Properties" then find "FormFactor" and change it to Custom and you can scale forever. |

Tip #7:
For all you weapon builders, start building on a large scale, and then shrink it using minimaps (not recommended, because they are often outdated and don't support CSG or wedges) or this plugin; http://www.roblox.com/Model-Resize-Plugin-2-1-DRAG-TO-RESIZE-item?id=143613186
Just jump in the bandwagon, you don't need to make a red carpet entry. |

@MUKKYISAWESOME
That tip sucks! Not anchoring stuff is hilarious, I love when I mess around in studio and build a complete model and forget to anchor it. |
|
|
When you want to create a brick smaller than .2, insert a Mesh of its kind and resize the Mesh by going into it's properties. Make sure to change the FormFactor to Custom instead of leaving it to Symmetrical (Just repeating what I said before. ;-; |

SAVE OFTEN!
losing your work because roblox studio had to crash is a real bummer, save every 5-10 minutes to ensure you don't lose your work |

If you are making a game and you recently just made a model, but didn't offilalize it, press the model, go to FILE and click "Publish Selection to ROBLOX". This also works for making another model your own. |

Listen to music so you don't get bored or impatient.
( game soundtracks are designed to not make you lose task of what you're actually doing if that helps you ) |

stupid newb |
|

newb? hahahahahahahahahahahahaha |

Why are like half these posts about making bricks smaller than .2 haha, i mean really i know people want to be precise with their stuff but if youre only building with bricks that are less than .2 long/wide/tall then you will be building for a long time before anyone can even tell that you are building in the first place. |
