I doubt you're going to get any players if you make it free. Also, making it Pay to Play isn't going to get more visitors than making it free. Here's what I'd recommend: Make your place open. Advertise it and ask for people to come help you make a better experience for the future players. This way, you can get both your tix and helpful supporters.
