So I've had a little bit of experience with watching anime in the past. When I was younger and growing up I watched pretty much all of DBZ Kai. Recently my interest for watching anime has gone up because I am so bored with life. Any suggestions on good anime to watch? I'm looking more towards comedy anime, like an anime that will literally make me burst out laughing each episode. But I will take every suggestion into consideration.
Thanks :) |

Most are for a wide audience except for FLCL and NHK, but they're all great. I advice you to read this list thoroughly.
> Naruto(and Shippuden) - About a young ninja who slowly proves himself worthy despite the nine-tailed fox being sealed inside him. It has it's moments, and considering the amount of episodes, expect more.
> One Piece - A pirate made out of rubber on a quest to become the King of the Pirates. Like Naruto, it has it's moments and a wide list of episodes to watch.
> Kill la Kill - Teenage girl on a vendetta to avenge her father. She wears a live kamui and wields the half of a red giant scissor blade.
> Afro Samurai - Badass samurai wearing the legendary number 2 headband. Samuel L. Jackson is a voice actor.
> Samurai Champloo - Basically what you get if you introduce hip hop and jazz to the clanging swords period. Great soundtrack, and good animation for an '06 show.
> FLCL - Mecha show mainly on the topic of growing up. Not entirely plot heavy, since it's objective is to convey its theme, and it presents it in a rhetorical way. Great soundtrack if you're into garage band songs and rock alternative.
> Nichijou - Comedy with a cute charm, but don't watch it if you're only into plot driven shows. Highly cheerful. Animation is surprisingly well made and the art style is simplistic.
> Usagi Drop - Heartwarming as hell, if you're into those shows. It's a father-daughter show that's somewhat about a 6 year old girl whose "dad" recently died and his "son" decides to adopt her since the rest of the family members see her as the daughter of a mistress.
> Tatami Galaxy - Artsy show, with a great theme. By artsy, I mean the art style is not something you'll see in a regular show. Great soundtrack as well.
> Madoka Magica(and Rebellion) - Magical girl show that gradually becomes dark, you'll see how. Amazing animation, plot driven and includes a great soundtrack with varying genres.
> Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - Watch if you want to grow chest hair.
> Welcome to the N.H.K. - Probably my favorite, but it's strictly not for everyone. Deals with the subject of loneliness and coping with it. Has only a few rated R scenes, but it's not the main point of the show |

I'd recommend anything on my list that i've rated like a 7+ http://myanimelist. net/animelist/FrostyNugs |

I highly suggest Mobile Suit: Gundam, it has many series though and choosing one is tough, but I suggest either the original (AKA 0079, highly thematic, and very dated since it was made in the 70's, with a high focus on war) G Gundam (a very fight-centric anime, much like Dragon Ball) Gundam 00 (Highly themed on whether the ends justify the means) and the 08th MS team (like platoon, with robots.)
Another great anime I suggest is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, it has incredible themes (such as war, defeat, and determination), great humor, and moments that make you cry, an incredible journey, the majority of it is on Netflix as well. |

Let's not forget Gundam Build Fighters/Try for people who has never watched the series. |
