Okay so I have seen when I go onto a game which includes role playing, and many people decide they want to praise suicide by role playing it. Really? Do you not understand that it can be triggering to some people. Some people have lost family or friends to suicide, some people had friends or family attempt to take their life, and some people have actually tried. I don't know why anyone thinks it's right to role play suicide? It makes no sense. If you have had someone in your life attempt or actually commit then you wouldn't want people to role play about it as it brings back those memories of trying to help that family member or friend out of their state of depression, and then finding out that their help didn't help at all.
I know that feeling as I have had a friend attempt, and I was trying to help her through her depression. I had another friend I was helping think about it. I had a family member loose a friend to suicide, his body was found four days later as no one knew where he was or how to contact him as he wasn't answering the phone for obvious reasons. I had another friend loose her boy friend to suicide.
It's not something that should be on this site, as this site was made for not only teenagers but kids to play on. Do you really want a kid to see you role playing suicide, and then think suicide is awesome and actually attempt? No! That's the worst thing to happen.
So I ask the Roblox staff to ban suicide role plays from this site or at least have the option to report someone who is role playing it or talking about it. |

if ODing is against the rules, but is fine in RP,
then RP suicide should be allowed too.

It's actually not in the report option, and I contacted the Roblox email and was told to write a post about it on here by someone inside of Roblox. So it's not banned and it needs to be. And if it was banned I wouldn't be able to write suicide, so that just proves it's not. ODing is against the rules and Suicide should be as well. ODing isn't the only reason for people praising suicide, there is people who want attention and think role playing suicide will due the trick. And it's completely wrong. |

And Maker, that's because people ODing are breaking the rules. They aren't allowed to. A lot of the role playing places even write "No ODing" and "Follow the Roblox rules" |

My point is, if they ban this during RP, they should ban what they don't (like ODing) in RP too.

It already IS against the rules; you can't discuss inappropriate topics like that on ROBLOX. Then again, online dating is also against the rules yet you don't see that enforced either, do you? The problem isn't ROBLOX being insensitive, they simply cannot handle the vast amount of incompetent young users that this site attracts.
PS: Nobody is able to take you seriously if you say "trigger". Tumblr feminists have taken ALL the meaning out of that word. |

Cy, then why was a Roblox employee telling me to write this post. It's not against the rules if it's able to be said in a forum. And the way I said trigger is the actual way it's suppose to be used so anyone who doesn't realize that can take their opinions somewhere else. Suicide is not something to even joke about, and if you think it is then go on your merry way. I am bringing awareness as I was told to do by someone in Roblox, so as he told me I will do it for something that needs to disappear off of this site.
If you lost someone to suicide or knew someone who tried then you would feel the same way. It's not something to joke about considering a student at my school committed suicide just a couple months ago as well as a teacher. |
