I personally would like to. Why? 1. A lot of games supports linux now As you can see, on steam, there's a lot of Linux Games. I think that says everything. 2. Because why not It's not as hard to maintain as a Mac version (Did I mention you need a Mac to run OS X?) 3. Lot less exploiting things Linux is a lot more secure than windows. Plus, most exploiting tools are for windows (a couple are for mac which are still not patched). Why not: 1. Too much variation For example, Ubuntu(apt-get), Fedora(forgot), Arch(pacman)... They all use different package systems. Plus, there's way too much display drivers (VESA, Nouveau, NVIDIA, NVIDIA-340xx...) And GNOME, KDE, LXDE, XFCE, Cinnamon, Unity, and No GUI at all. 2. Not Enough Demand (but how about Mac version?) They don't really have that much demand, but probably not the windows version too. I wonder if they will make a BSD version... What are your thoughts?

No. But linux files work on all the operating systems they are made for it. SteamOS games work on all linux.

I would love if there was a Linux version of Roblox, although as you pointed out there's too much fragmentation (more than Android, which is quite an achievement, a bad one) and there's too little demand. Plus for a few years already big names like Ubuntu have been messing up badly with their own distribution to no end, further breaking Linux in more little pieces (I still use it though). If Roblox was on Steam however, Linux support would be more worth it, since they're trying to push Linux more for quite a while already. I have to disagree with the statement of Linux being more secure than Windows though. Windows is simply much more used as a desktop OS and thus is much more attractive for hacking purposes, furthermore Android is the most used mobile OS used nowadays and it was at least once considered the least secure OS around, and Android is based on Linux, and even in Linux server or desktop there are plenty of exploits to get root for instance (I was astonished when I first saw how easy it was to get root in some distributions), and just like in Windows many of these exploits rely on programs that come with the distribution which run as root and have open vulnerabilities.

Work users on roblox have Windows or Mac. If such a tiny percentage of used linux, why would they make it? They want to profit.

"Plus for a few years already big names like Ubuntu have been messing up badly with their own distribution to no end, further breaking Linux in more little pieces (I still use it though)." Ubuntu... Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu... Oh my god... "I have to disagree with the statement of Linux being more secure than Windows though." I will have to disagree with you disagreeing with me. "even in Linux server or desktop there are plenty of exploits to get root for instance (I was astonished when I first saw how easy it was to get root in some distributions), and just like in Windows many of these exploits rely on programs that come with the distribution which run as root and have open vulnerabilities." Yes, there are way too much distros, and each come with their own set of vulnerabilities. However, since Linux is open source (excluding some closed-source distros (why do they exist?)) and patching is way easier (pacman -U? apt-get upgrade? (yes, I use arch and debian, shut up)). Therefore, they should have relatively fewer security loopholes. I mean, some distros come with root locked (Ubuntu anyone?).

This is already possible with a little terminal work. There are instructions online you can copy and paste. It worked perfectly for me , but it did have a few bugs ingame. The instructions work for anything based on ubuntu/debian.

It's a waste of time, effort, and money for Roblox engineers to bring Roblox into such an inferior OS. No support Don't start an OS fanboy war.

OS fanboys are people who argue about which OS is better without having the basic knowledge of all of them.

... Pathetic. Why would you argue about it. The only arguable point is people who think mac is better than pc. There are advantages and disadvantages in both computers.

Agreed. Linux could be inferior (in terms of features at least), but it's Designed to be inferior. Seriously, can you run a NT kernel by itself with a CLI and some basic packages?

Even if you can, it's probably going to take up at least 2 gigabytes. I can force my arch linux to be like 5GB. Please note that I have the Full LXDE environment, Firefox, OpenJDK 8, and a 3 Gigabyte #########(It's a game name) Server.

No, I am not an OS Fanboy. Windows is great at gaming, while Linux is great at... servers? Isn't that BSD's thing? IDK.

I have knowledge of: DOS - very basic Windows - meh OS X - meh Linux - Very Very Meh BSD - What? I'd use Windows on my gaming PC, OS X on my work PC, Linux on my Server. They all have different purposes and I do not favor any particular system.

I use both Linux and Windows... quite intensively, sometimes at the same time. Linux is far superior to Windows in some things (servers, development, SSH, etc) while Windows is far superior to Linux in other things (gaming, design, drivers, easier to install anything, etc). They're both equally good in stuff such as web browsing, watching movies, etc.

Linux security is a myth. Windows is pretty insecure as well. I use Mac so I'm all good. :-)
