Leading isn't easy.
It's easy to focus on one or two aspects instead of the mass of things you need to be doing to run a group successfully.
Most leaders right now will focus on size, activity, and reputation. They completely leave out skill, practicality, community, and internal operation. So their group will be big, and appear successful on the outside, but it'll be buckling into crap on the inside.
If you think leading is easy, you're probably one of those leaders.
The good leaders are the ones that focus on internal operation as much as external operation and appearance. And that isn't an easy task.
