Cancer is different from autism. Autism is a lifelong disability and you can't do anything about it (at least, in this day and age). Cancer however is a life-threatening illness.

Also, yes, this can be very well a troll post because banning talk about Autism is dumb, and people using Autism as an insult is dumb. Or OP could just be confused. Also, again to 8BitRetroGamer, it can't be removed, but it can be treated with therapy. I know this because I have Autism. Therapy DOES help.
Just remember that anyone who uses Autism as an insult is either dumb, or is not thinking about it. |

Any words can indeed be used as an insult, and some people look silly when insulting others. Kind of like when people say:
"YOU STRAIGHT, SKINNY, NEUROTYPICAL BRITAN!"
You most likely found that to be a very bad insult. You need to think that way when people use Autism as an insult, because it's nothing to use as an insult. Autism means that your senses are heightened, it's hard to socialize, increased anxiety, ritualistic behavior, and a few other minor things (like rolling your head around). |

Anything can be used as an insult on the internet, you have to be prepared for that.
However, I can say that the majority of people use it as an insult. I joined a server and immediately was flamed and spammed with insults, such as "ugly" "stupid" and autistic as well. |

You people are completely missing the point. Though censoring does not stop autism itself, it stops autism as a word for bullying. Soon the word will become meaningless for the bullies and they will leave it alone. |

Also, unfortunately even though you people think it's okay because this is the internet, as I said, this is a kids website. Evil such as calling someone autistic and then laughing your head off is too dark to be on this website. It makes us cynical. Also, to the people who think that you should even be talking about this on a game that's basically legos online, just go to reddit and talk about your problems, or something made for psychologists. I, myself, have OCD and murderous anxiety, also, my cousin is autistic and it's really sad because there are a lot of autistic kids who are mute. It's just cruel to make fun of people for that. And just because it's not always used as an insult doesn't mean that people don't use it ONLY as an insult (which they do). |
