I admire the weapon turning it in my hand. Looks about right. It's not falling apart in my hands at least.
I press on the switch. |
It makes a click, but no visible difference. It might make up for the lack of a third trigger. |
Hm.
I look through the other packages in the case. |
You find an extremely large rifle cartridge - twenty of them. It looks to be something used by an elephant rifle of sorts, though it's marked at the 9.3mmR on the bottom of the case.
You also find two different variations of shotgun shells - the 12 gauge. There's twenty five green bird-shot shells and twenty red slugs. |
Well there's no way I'm carrying all this in my pocket.
I check the luggage I found the Firearm Case in. |
There's a leather belt, a down jacket, and a plastic bag containing some multicolored pills and Band-Aids. There's a roll of electrical tape in the corner, and a road flare in one of the extra pockets. |
Well, it's a start.
I throw on the down Jacket, and try to fasten the plastic bag to the belt using the tape, without covering the opening. |
You successfully MacGyver yourself a satchel of sorts, though the tape does make it a bit difficult to access the contents of the plastic bag. |
I place the rest of the tape roll into the bag have a look around. I wonder if theres something I can use to pen up these other locked cases. |
You locate another duffle bag, in which you find a towel, windbreaker, a copy of A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain, and a short razor knife. |
I leave the items in the bag and extend the strap some, slinging it over my shoulder so that the bag hangs behind me.
I stare at the corpses for a moment.
-sigh-
My survival is more important than the sanctity of their grave.
I start searching the bodies inside the bus. |
The only notable thing you find on the bodies is a watch, which states that the time is 12:40, AM or PM, it's doesn't say. Other than that, there's a guy who has some boots which look about your size, which are relatively unharmed, and you also find a pair of cracked aviators on the floor. |
I collect the watch, and check to see if it's actually still working.
I pull the mans boots off, then sit down and pull one of my own shoes off, looking for sizing info, as well as the size of the boots. |
Both your shoes and the boots are unmarked for size, though, on second glance, they might be a little tight.
The watch is working fine, and the second hand is zipping around, clockwise, of course. |
That's odd, not even under the Tongue?
I try to pull on one of the boots. |
Completely unmarked. It's just a plain, green-tinted, rubber boot. Not even a sign of who manufactured it.
You pull on the boot, it fits, it's just a bit tight around the shaft, with a bit of extra room around the toe. You'll still be able to run in it, and the tightness might keep out some moisture. |
Alright. Fit on the other boot and throw my shoes into the duffel bag.
Speaking of which, are there any side pockets on the duffel? |
There are two, one of which you found the book inside. |
I go back to the M30 Case, and start collecting the ammunition. I place some of the rounds into the Plastic bag, and the rest into one of the side pockets of the Duffel.
I leave two of the shells and one of the Rifle rounds out, and try to figure out how to open the break. |
(which shells? birdshot, buckshot, or slug?)
("yes", ian, forgotten weapons, chiappa triple threat video)
There's a button by the switch, which you can access with your thumb. |
(Buckshot)
I thumb the button. |
The barrels pop open, at what seems like a 50-or-so degree angle, allowing you to load each barrel.
You load in the buckshots and 9.3mm round, all of them fitting almost flawlessly into their chambers.
(just to shorten things up) |
Before I close the break, I look at the stock-side of the interior and flip the switch from before, looking for any changes in the mechanism.
Hopefully I'll be able to tell what this switch changes. |
The firing pin of one of the shotgun barrels twitches, and the pin for the rifle retracts. |
