I growled, circling him, then decisively sidestepped and slashed at his arm. |

Smiling at my work, I took out a small box with some gemstones inside. I searched through them and found a purple gem in the shape of an eye. I set to work enchanting it, "Fidelis intendo enim terra..." I closed the stone in my hand and closed my eyes. I opened my eyes and the gem was glowing, I smiled and carved a small niche in my bow for it, I would not easily miss with this gemstone. |

I allowed the blow to catch my arm, though, it did no damage, as my cloak was of no normal material. It had been enchanted several times, and was now as strong as steel, but did not restrict movement. Very useful against foolish opponents. I lowered myself into a fighting stance, and prepared for his next attack. |

Herrando sat in the lone chair in his little, hastily made hovel. He was polishing his morningstar with a bored look on his face. |
I growled as I wrenched my hand back. I circled the man some more. That was one strong cloak. How would I get around it...? I had it! A direct attack at the chest...But that would impale me...I needed a distraction. I looked around for something, then it hit me. I bounded up a tree and jumped on a branch, cracking it, and it fell towards my opponent. I dived from the tree towards him, strike aimed, and ready to hit home. |

I smiled inwardly at my opponent's stupidity. A few muttered words, and a wall of energy was thrown at him. First rule of combat; never underestimate your enemy. |
I stood up and stretched. I took a lock of hair from my head and braided it tightly, then used it to string my bow. I thought about the trees it would take to make some arrows. I looked at the small spell book at my feet and at the bow in my hand. "I wonder..." I thought out loud. |
I yelped in pain as the energy hit me, knocking me back into the tree. I knew at once that this one was too powerful, and I would have to follow him from a distance to find out what he was up to. This confrontation would have to wait for another day. I pretended to be dead, and went limp in the fork of the tree. |

My enemy had suddenly gone limp. I hadn't hit him that hard. I threw out a quick spell, trying to detect life signs. He still showed some. "Get out of the tree." I called to him. |
I poked my head upward, then shrugged. I didn't think he would killed me. I slid out of the tree, and rubbed my sore arms. I kept my head down and said nothing. |

"Why do you persue me?" I inquired. I was curious as to why he wanted to know about me so badly. |
I glared at the man. "I have never seen one such as you. One who can suffer so many wounds...One that can stare a werewolf in the face...One with a cloak with such power." I explained.
"I find myself curious." |

"There isn't much to be curious about." I replied. "And stop being curious, it'll cause you great pains in the future." I turned away from him for the second time now, and began walking towards the Shroud. |
I stepped into the shadows of the forest. It didn't matter to me. I would find out what he was doing. I followed from the shadows, making little to no noise. |
Purple arcane energy shot straight into the sky. "Yes! It worked!" I shouted and danced with glee. My enchanted bow needed no arrows and used only magic. Should I return to my homeland, I would surely let them know of this. |

Within a few minutes of walking, I am approaching the Shroud. The large, impenetrable barrier between the nations. I pulled out my map, and began to study it...

I looked at the shroud. "What is that...?" I growled. |

(Everyone knows what the Shroud is. Unless your character has never left the city.) |
(He never has. Mainly because I have no idea what it is. No offense, it could have been more self-explanatory :P) |

(Shroud. Mist. Dense fog. It is pretty self-explanatory, just from the name. It goes along the borders of the nations.) |
(Okay. I'm assuming it's magically impenetrable?)

I currently needed to head to Grok-Ugnar. There was a task there that needed to be done. I began thinking of my current co-ordinates, and began to plan a route. |
I crept ever so closer to the man, trying to see the map. |
