I use tumblr for mostly anime and my AMV and editing work, though I have had some... unfortunate run ins with the Extreme SJWs. Tumblr would be a lot better without those...

there are three parts of tumblr The first part: cisgender scumlords these users are the ones that, without reason, hate cisgender, straight or white individuals simply because they're the majority and believe that every one of those types of people is offensive and should be punished for not being tolerant of all. they are often depressed (or claim to be) and spend their lives complaining about how bad they have it. they attract each other but are generally avoided by nice people as they are extremely annoying. they are also feminists who scour the entire website just to pick out every mildly offensive post and make a snarky, asshat comment on it. The second part: socially inept nerds this part of tumblr loves to be sarcastic. they aren't afraid to make offensive or one-sided posts but are generally good at heart and everything they say is a joke. these people tend not ever to go outside, but stay inside their blanket caves watching endless netflix and anime and complaining about the lack of steamy relationships in their lives. they are known for their witty one-liners, memes and reaction gifs, and some claim to be a part of the science side of tumblr. The third part: legitimate bloggers these people are EXTREMELY rare as they are ordinary bloggers who post things about their interests and lives. they don't understand the other people in the community so they're always so nice that they appear dumb and aren't exactly internet-oriented. internet slang and/or memes must be explained to them and they are subject to being horrified by some of the content they may come across on the website. So as you can see, this site is full of geniuses all with IQ's above 300.
