The jeep roars to life then it starts to move towards the firing range. "This is gonna be a lengthy drive, so if you have any questions about the division ask away." The Colonel asks you.

"Yeah I had a few in mind." As the jeep trundles along I take hold of the rail behind the empty seat next to me. "So, being a Mechanized Division, what kind of Vehicle assets do we have on hand? Any tanks, Gun Carriers?"

"Oh, well we have around 210 Roaring Eagles in the division, around 2000 jeeps and trucks, 240 mobile anti-tank guns, 50 armored vehicles, and 16 armored half-tracks at our disposal." The Colonel replies.

(Roaring Eagles are the Steyr RSOs right? Or were they the Stuarts?) "Armored Vehicles is a tad vague Colonel, are we talking Armored Cars, or those 'Pigs' the Infantry adore? Something else I don't know of? "That reminds me, the AT guns, long barreled or the little 'Hammers'?"

[its the steyr rsos] "The armoured vehicles? Oh, the called the AFV30 and yes, it kills infantry. Some fking genius thought it would be smart to strap a 30 mil auto cannon onto a armoured car with over 1000 rounds with air-cooling barrels. Those things just rip infantry, cars, light tanks, half-tracks, other AFV30s, and many more things that are unfortunate to get in its line of fire apart. Going for the anti-tank guns, they're decent sized, were getting upgrades for the barrels right now. At the moment, we have 16 anti-tank guns equipped with long barrels." He replies.

"Sounds viscious. On a different note, Winter is just up ahead, I trust the men have cold-weather equipment, and the vehicle crews are properly trained for muddy terrain?"

#179724264Wednesday, December 16, 2015 1:27 AM GMT

"Yup yup, they're trained for that in basic. Its brutal really, the recruits in basic are sent to our winter regions of our county and do the same courses three times. Ones naked, Seconds in combat uniform without winter gear, Third in winter gear. Its brutal, but it makes them tough, and the crews are trained to maintain their vehicles. Its surprisingly to see what those engineers can repair. If you need anything, go to them." The Colonel replies. But speaks up again, "Were almost there, 1 more minute.".

"Speaking of the Infantry, are they well-supplied? Beyond essentials that is. I doubt theyve been issued camoflauge, but are there any irregular requisitions? I ask because I'd considered requesting scrimming material for their helmets."

#179724888Wednesday, December 16, 2015 1:36 AM GMT

"Yes our infantry is well supplied, and yes theirs uniforms available for the military but you have to request it, and only high known generals get camouflaged uniforms. So make a name for your self then request it. And scrimming..?" The Colonel says like its a foreign word to him.

#179725524Wednesday, December 16, 2015 1:46 AM GMT

"I'm aware, I just didn't know if we'd already been supplied with camoflauge, seeing as one of our units is Royal. In any case, 'Scrim' is cloth, usually the old leftover boot puttee, torn into strips and tied off on the helmet web. Makes for some quality camoflauge, I'm told."

"Ahh, I see now. I guess, I could put in the order for it if you want. I just need to know how many units we need then I'll send it over. And were here." The Colonel replies as the jeep stops, where you could already hear gunfire. The Colonel gets out first, "For the shooting tests, were using our old rifles, hope that's alright with you. Come on, I'll explain the shooting competition rules for you." He says.

"Just fill in the gaps for what we cant't pull from what we have. Any earth-tone cloth should do the trick." I step out of the jeep and follow the Colonel.

The Colonel nods as he addresses, "The shooting tests consists of 5 tests all together. The first one is a 300m firing test, the most accurate will move on. The second is a 400m firing test, yet again the most accurate will move on. Third, will be a 500m firing test, the most accurate will move on. Fourth is back to the 300m firing test but it will consists of running, diving, crouching, then reaching an entrenched position to fire at popping up targets, the most accurate will move on. Fifth and last is a 400m firing test and the contestants do the same thing as test 4 but they start by doing 100 jumping jacks then starting. The most accurate is rewarded their rifles, were currently on the first firing test and will most likely last about 5 days.".

""Sounds comprehensive,"

"Indeed it is, only the best shooters get the rifles. Just like what you said, going on other news, one of our top shooters is surprisingly a woman. Care you see her in person?" The Colonel nods in agreement.

"I don't see why not."

The Colonel nods and walks you over to one of the shooting competitors, you see a female soldier in perfect shooting stance and is set like a stone. Then out of nowhere, the rifle roars to life in a mighty flash of gunpowder and sound before returning to its previous state. You see the female soldier unstartled, waits a few seconds before cocking back the bolt then repeating the progress. "Want to talk to her?" The Colonel asks.
