I know this has been suggested before, but seriously. Have you ever sat down and wondered "Why is there an economy on a game meant for kids?" Seriously, Roblox did perfectly fine before they decided to raise the price of everything. The main reason of the "economy" is the price floor. It cause more piracy and it's difficult for groups to sell uniforms. If 10 tickets was the value of 1 robux, it would help players obtain money easier and it might help the "economy."

"Why is there an economy on a game meant for kids?" Because someone has to teach kids about the economy. "There's candy in the white van kids!"

Roblox economy is broken as hell. Why would kids want to learn from it?

Roblox doesn't control trade currency

The Roblox economy exists because OBC developers can get real money from the amount of Tix and Robux they make. If there wasn't a system in place for the currency being moved around the website, it would either be a scam or give developers too much money.

The developers make more than enough to run the servers and coninue dev-ex every year. There is no need for Roblox "economy."

Stop putting economy in quotation marks as if it's silly. If it were just changed back to as simple as it was before the economy with the entire ten Robux being given to the owner of a shirt that costs ten Robux and with everyone getting a Robux a day, it would crash and burn.

I put economy in quotation marks because the economy is so messed up and biased.

Biased towards who? Are you going to say the developers are biased because they've put an economy system into place where the only downside is YOU DON'T GET THEIR VIRTUAL MONEY IF YOU DON'T PAY THEM REAL MONEY? That sounds like sarcasm, but I'm not kidding. I would support this sort of thing if things in the catalog were overpriced, but they aren't.
TheCyborgDog
#172046855Saturday, August 22, 2015 8:23 AM GMT

I'm saying the economy is completely developer controlled. It's a biased system used to get players to fork over more cash.

Of course it's developer controlled. Roblox isn't a democracy, it's a corporation and servers and supporting jobs isn't as cheap as you think. They need money and they're only making you pay for what's reasonable.

#172046954Saturday, August 22, 2015 8:27 AM GMT

Roblox makes more than enough money than they need. This change will hardly effect Roblox's income.
l0ldude1
#172047002Saturday, August 22, 2015 8:29 AM GMT

It'll seriously affect their income. Lowering the Tix-Robux ratio by 20-30 would make both buying Robux and getting BC basically pointless.
TheCyborgDog
#172047042Saturday, August 22, 2015 8:30 AM GMT

But as of right now, 17 tix= 1 robux. In 2012, 11-12 tix = 1 robux. Roblox did perfectly fine with it, even with mutiple games having 1,000= players at a time.

As of right now. In the past year, I've seen it between 10-1 to 30-1. What you're trying to argue is that NBC players should get accessories for their character for free. Therefore seriously lowering the need to buy Robux and BC. Therefore giving Roblox, say, 75% of the money they have. Probably putting them in huge trouble. This isn't going to happen and you're not good at making points.

I am not trying to argue special rights for NBC. Did you read the post? I said it will help everyone.

#172047253Saturday, August 22, 2015 8:37 AM GMT

You are trying to argue special rights for NBC. Special rights for people who don't pay Roblox any money would be giving them one Robux a day. One more Robux every day isn't much to people who pay little amounts of real money for a lot of Robux or people who get 15-75 every day.
l0ldude1
#172047277Saturday, August 22, 2015 8:38 AM GMT

Again, I would support you if Robux cost too much or if stuff on the catalog cost too much Robux, but Roblox has good prices for everything.

I am not support more NBC rights, this will give more Robux to everyone. Not just NBC. Roblox won't be affected by a better economy. The same amount of people will buy BC, the same amount of people will buy Robux, and the same amount of ads will be clicked on. For Roblox it's a win/win situation.

#172047579Saturday, August 22, 2015 8:47 AM GMT

You're contradicting yourself so much and reusing the same things. 1. BC people don't want 1 extra Robux a day. This kind of thing is specific to NBC. Also, people can already benefit if they have BC by making a lot of Robux every day, trading it in for Tix when the ratio is bad, and then trading it back when the ratio evens up. 2. This will affect Roblox. Giving everyone a free T-shirt in a real clothing store would lose them serious money, giving everyone on Roblox a real penny every day would lose them serious money. 3. Of course some people will stop buying Robux and BC. 4. You know this won't happen. They're not going to take down the economy and DevX.
TheCyborgDog
#172047762Saturday, August 22, 2015 8:52 AM GMT

1. If BC didn't want extra Robux, why did they buy BC in the first place? 2. Roblox would not loose money. Even if people stopped buying BC, ads will still be clicked. Ads give Roblox quit alot, and for 4 years, Roblox relied completely on ads. 3. Some people might quit if Roblox keeps screwing up the "economy." Less money for Roblox, based on your logic. 4. I never said anything about taking down Dev-Ex. I said it could help Dev-Ex users.

#172047892Saturday, August 22, 2015 8:57 AM GMT

1. BC has a lot of extra things that developers could benefit from and buying Robux gives you more Robux for less money and doesn't give you features you might not want. Also, 1 Robux a day isn't "extra Robux". 2. i. User ads don't give Roblox money, so you must not mean those. ii. In most countries, 0.10% of ads are clicked. No website makes a lot of their income from ads. Roblox makes you pay for money because sustaining a game server costs around 60 cents EACH SERVER and they also have to pay all of their employees and sustain the company. 3. They aren't screwing it up, and people quit every day. 4. Someone said that DevX was a problem, maybe not you, but doing this would destroy DevX.
