Ok 1. There is nobody to talk to except my brother which is cool but he's older so he prob doesn't enjoy it as much, cute girls all juniors and sophomores though. 2. Our first course as a team I actually went the wrong way and skipped like half of it which was so embarrassing, second course I finished but not as the same time as others. Basically when people said they didn't train it was a lie, and I should've been in more shape, but by the time school starts I'll be fine and throughout the school year I'll be in good shape. Also is a bonus my favorite teacher is coaching it and he just wants us to be ready for the season. He's really a good motivating coach. If I rated my performance id give it a D, but ATLEAST I finished

Cross Country was probably the best experience of my life in high school. The 1 thing I actually miss about high school.

My best advice is really just to never give up, even if it hurts. Push yourself as much as you can. However, if you ever get shin splints I would advise you to take a week off before you make it worse. "If you tell yourself you have limits you'll never go anywhere. Break those limits. "My best advice is really just to never give up, even if it hurts. Push yourself as much as you can. However, if you ever get shin splints I would advise you to take a week off before you make it worse." basically this my recent knee injury (not a shin splint, but pretty similar) got way worse than it would have been because i continued running even after the pain was getting unbearable, and after i told my coach and stopped running i kept trying to walk it off when i >knew< this wasnt something minor. by the time i got home i couldnt walk 2 steps without immediately falling over because of the pain (went to my doc, turned out to be nothing serious, just needs to rest and when i can run again to take is slower than before for the first week or two) you should usually ignore things like soreness or light pains though, especially in the thighs/calves or lower back know the difference between pushing your limit and being past it
