UK is a VERY powerful country, its forces are trained to the highest standards. Our special forces are the founding fathers of the US special forces, the SAS have trained Delta for years and other Special forces around the world, UK SAS are the best in the world, our Royal Marines are in the top list in the world, theya re WAYYYY better than the US marines. Our Navy was once great with a huge history, but now it is small due to the lack of real wars happening, however we are making our Navy a lot bigger with two Huge air craft carriers.
Our air forces is imporving and out are Army is, in 2020 who are reforming meaning there will be a new Command that specilises in fast reaction, because we lack of that at the moment, and finally our Officers are the best in the world, no doubt.
The US are also trained to a high standards, yet they succeed in many areas, like the UK, but with the US, their navy is much larger, and their air force is a lot high tech,
there's a saying ''If I had the tech from the US, the soliders from Canada and the officers from Britain, I could take over the world'' this is very true, our officer corps train nearly all of the officers in the world, atm we train the Bulgarian, Afgan, Iraq, Iran, Africa and loads more.
I am not bias I am just following facts. |

sorry but us is way more developed in military terms than the uk, the spending that the us does on military outputs that of the uk by a pretty big degree |

It's impossible for UK to match US's fire-power and man-power but did U.S win Vietnam? no...
Number and Fire power is not everything.
First of all it would be near impossible for U.S troops to land on U.K since our Aircraft and Navy would simply destroy your transports.
and even if they did take U.K we would have guerrilla warfare which in the end would make the U.K prevail in our own lands.
but to fight and attack U.S on their homeland? that's pretty impossible.
In the end both of us would lose. |

I agree, US has much more firepower and military than UK. But UK is better trained in general and can deliver hard blows. |

And yet in WWII Britain was constantly bombarded from zeppelins. Same thing would happen now. Not saying I like America, but their military spending outsizes that of the next 10 countries. |
