They also need to pay their employees(who do next to nothing) and bare metal servers which cost about $300 each. At the rate ROBLOX is going, they're going to need to buy a looooot of servers. |

"You all got it wrong. ROBLOX uses Google Ad Words, which only generate revenue if someone clicks on the advertisement. If you aren't going to click on an ad then Adblock does not matter."
I stand corrected. Then that means ROBLOX earns next to nothing from ads, unless google pays them alot for each ad clicked. |

That's a completely different form of advertising. That would be Roblox staff advertising the website using a google service, and Roblox staff would be paying for it. Putting ads on their own site and being paid for it is not related to google Ad words. |

May I point out all the incorrect words in this thread? Actually, it is mostly the whole thing;
"Does ROBLOX really need Builder's Club?"
"I mean, think of all the money they get from ads."

I think that other guy is confused about Google AdWords. Advertisers only have to pay Google if someone clicks their ad. To put it into simpler terms, let me tell you a story.
Once upon a time, there was a guy named Bob that owned a pizzeria. Bob wants to advertise his pizzeria, so he went to Google AdWords. Bob has to pay Google in order for his pizzeria to get advertised. Unlike most advertisers, AdWords only charges Bob if someone clicks on his ad.
It's a rainy day. Nancy is sitting on her computer in her room browsing the Roblox catalog. She sees an ad for Bob's pizzeria. However, she's not hungry, so she ignores the ad. Since Nancy didn't click on Bob's ad, Bob doesn't have to pay Google.
It's game night and Robert is hanging out with his friends. He sees an ad for Bob's pizzeria on Roblox. Robert realizes he's hungry and clicks on the ad. He then orders pizza. Since Robert clicked on the ad, Bob has to pay Google.
When an ad shows up on a website, it's called an impression. When someone clicks on an ad, it's called a click. Therefore, Bob has to pay Google whenever his ad is clicked.
I hope that cleared stuff up for you. |

Yes, Roblox DOES need BC. I really don't know why people complain about BC... Pretty much all games have some sort of membership, but Roblox is considered greedy for having BC? |
|
|
those games are playable without it. |
|
|
ROBLOX is playable without BC, bud.

The game is playable without having to buy anything- it's the player's choice.
