when we create free models we should have the option when making it to lock it so they can place it on their place but cannot change it.

That is impossible with the way that roblox studio works. >=Darth

Actually Darth, that's very possible the way Roblox Studio works.

No, it isn't. Its actually impossible. Use an obfuscated code.

You can put a lock feature do where you can't edit it but you can undo the action of inserting it... right?

I don't like this idea. Say you get a gun pack, and you want just 1 gun from that pack, how do you suppose you could get that 1 gun without getting the whole weapon pack?

@jjjakey; 1) Just went into Roblox Studio and checked. You /can/ edit the scripts in the default weapons. 2) 90% of the FreeModel weapons are derivitives of the default weapons or other FreeModel weapons. @starwarsfreak21; jjjakey is suggesting an option not an all-out rule. Say you upload a model and it's something the user shouldn't need to edit. Then you can go and set the perma-lock mode on. If you upload a gun pack, you wouldn't check the perma-lock because you know somebody might want to edit the guns within the model. Also, to answer your question, the uploader could upload all the guns seperately, or as one model but not grouped in Studio.

jjj, YOu can't EDIT them, but their sources can be copied and placed in a new script. Besides, onyl the admins can make scripts like that, they are LinkedSource.

They got rid of it in the new update, then. Go check out Studio. I grabbed the classic superball and started messing with the script. Tested it and it worked just fine.
