Hello, S&I! Today I'm here to suggest a what-if update to chatting. Right now I find it pretty static, and it doesn't have to be. I already know that ROBLOX probably won't look into this, but just for discussion's sake, let's say they were actually interested. Would this be a cool thing to have? (I'm anticipating a lot of hate to this idea, but we'll see)
FacePacks: Starting now, ROBLOXians now have the ability to equip a face pack (1 max). They can make it from faces they already have (combine normal faces in inventory to equip them as one face pack) or buy ones that ROBLOX would begin to sell (They would be sold as a set of Faces). Each face in the FacePack would be activated when you toggle an expression. Any number of faces can be put in one face pack as long as you have an expression for each one.
Expressions: Basically ROBLOX would begin selling short equipable actions that can equipped in your inventory and toggled via the chat. Each one has an activation word, on display on its display page. These expressions are also attached to faces via Face Packs, so whenever you toggle an expression you can have a specific face attached to it.
Expressions are activated by chatting "e:" and then the expression's activation word after it (no space between e: and the word), and after that any message you want to say with it, before it, after it, etc. There are an infinite amount of activation words, but if a purchaseable expression has the same activation word, that notes a category.
This would add depth and aesthetic appeal to chatting, which I know ROBLOX likes, and it would also be a chance to pull in some R$ which is always good. But I don't really want to discuss the merits of it being added, because I'm already aware they're not big enough for them to want to pursue this (it's a small update) or maybe even for most S&Iers to show interest, but in terms of seeing this in-game, how do you guys feel?
