Alternately, Macs have a unique feature that could also fix a lot of problems you may be having.
-SMC Reset.
-PRAM Reset.
SMC (System Management Controller) is vital in performance of your mac's hardware. Sometimes, it can become a bit funky. Computers can overheat because of it simply not working right. Processors, and RAM can end up cluttered simply because they aren't working right due to SMC issues.
SMC Quick fix:
Hold down Command+Option+Shift+Power keys on a Mac laptop for 10 seconds. Be sure to shut down properly before doing this.
PRAM: Parallel Random-Access Machine handles everything from GPU performance, to memory/task allocation.
PRAM Reset:
First, shut down.
Turn back on, and the moment the grey boot up screen shows, before the Apple Logo immediately hold these keys:
Command+Option+P+R keys. Doing this, your computer will restart. Let it happen twice, and then release the keys. |
