Hello. As you all know, you used to be able to see the largest groups on ROBLOX via the search bar. Now, it instead shows you the smallest. I would like to petition to bring that feature back, because it serves as a asset for the clan world, to see their member count against other clans, and also because it serves as a list of clans to "raid" for the clan world.
It also allows ROBLOX players to join groups, while most of the ones you see now have about 0 members in them. I would ask for ROBLOX to re-add this feature, and maybe a filter to switch between different categories of groups, and things such as largest, smallest, etc.

ROBLOX redid the way group searching behaved because all of the naughty superclan leaders (aside from TRA and RAT last time I checked) decided they would exploit the old searching behavior and spam their group descriptions with all sorts of "tags" like the less-than-reputable clothing copiers in the catalog do. This made the search algorithm biased towards these clans because no matter what you searched (war, fighting, building, teamwork, etc), since it was sorted from largest to smallest the superclans would always appear in every result because they had spammed their description with every possible tag you could think of. So, ROBLOX decided to change the search algorithm to prevent people from exploiting the description-based search system with lots of tags.
The result is that the groups displayed on the groups/join page (you get redirected to this page when you go to the groups page if you're not in any groups) are actually pretty relevant now: /6uccW3H.png
Now searching is based on name and description is completely ignored. This becomes pretty apparent when you search "military" and only get groups with the word "military" in their name. When you don't search for anything, the search term is just "", an empty string of text, and I don't know why but their search algorithm for some reason relates the empty character to those groups displayed when you search without a search term. You can thank all of the group leaders that were on the first page aside from TRA/RAT for this update, since their exploitation of the description-based search made ROBLOX change it.
In the end, I don't think it's that bad. You still have ads, which are the primary way groups gain members, so I don't think it will have a noticeable effect on how many people join your groups. And because groups like VE who gained members through illegitimate means and NBC Shirt Creators, which was never even a real group -- just an association of web exploiters, are no longer displayed front and center, it's even better. Especially because of NBC Shirt Creators, I don't think ROBLOX will ever want to fix the empty string search. |

The largest groups are also the worst groups. So you want to re-add the ability to see a list of the top worst groups? |

@echo Ok, forget anything else. Just re-add the ability to be able to see the largest groups with a filter. It kinda is a big part of the clan world, to see clans to war, raid, etc.

Oh, I see the benefit of the sorting by member count now. There's no other way to find other big clans to raid without it. A while back I posted about it on the developer forums asking why the the empty sort was messed up, which is where I got the information I posted here, but given ROBLOX's interest in groups I don't think it will be fixed any time soon. |

Well, all the top super clans seems to love breaking clan rules, that why. Richies could by SCR off of devtools for like 50 million robux. and he will OBVIOUSLY accept. |

I use to use it so I could find big clans to raid for X~Legion. Really hard to find clans now to raid qq |
