Greetings United States of America, and United States Congress!
Today, I am appealing to you, for what I see as the future of our Legislative Branch!
I see a great future for, as myself, during my Presidency, we managed to set up a fully functional Congress, giving them the correct abilities to pass laws, as well as a Class System for elections, and moreover a political party system. While serving as Speaker of the House for multiple terms, we managed to create a committee system, and there is so much more to accomplish.
We need to create more as far as oversight and involvement with the nation.
I believe our committees have far too much power. In real life, a committee gathers based on an issue. They have a public hearing allowing citizens to show up for the length of time they designate to provide their opinions of the matter. The committee then debates the issue with themselves, including the statements of the citizens, then conduct a vote based on a proposition of the matter. Then the vote goes before the Congressional Body as a whole. Here on Roblox, a committee of 5 members makes final decisions on issues, as if they were the only ones to have a say on the matter, when Congress as a whole should be making decisions.
Also, we need to create public hearings. LET CITIZENS TALK TO THEIR LEADERS. More press conferences, more discussion, more COMMUNICATION. WE NEED TO TALK.
Also, we need to have more committees to make suggestions before the United States Congress, the President, and the Courts. My CARE Act should add more of those things.
Also, we need to have a Speaker of the House that represents the will of Congress, as well as urges for progress that the citizens want to see. We need a Speaker of the House that doesn't serve his own will, just the President's will, and just his party's will. We need a Speaker of the House that serves CONGRESS' WILL.
Today, I am announcing my candidacy for Speaker of the House of Representatives. The reason being is that we need more involvement with our Congress. I commend SigmaHD and his work with the HEC, turning the HEC into an EXTREMELY organized committee, however, we need to make ALL committees just as involved, and just as organized. We need to create schedules for sessions. That way citizens can prepare opinions to present, and Representatives know in advance to prepare their statements, their bills, their discussions.
So when elected as Speaker of the House, I plan to:
- Create a weekly schedule for sessions, that will be open for citizens, Representatives, and anyone who wishes to attend.
- Create a committee system that is organized and prepared through multiple trellos for each committee.
- Create a place for committees to meet, gather, and discuss matters with CITIZENS and each other.
- Create a budget system, so that Congress can create a budget at the beginning of every new cycle of elections, based on the income of the USM, and other agencies, so that we can have some discussion on purchased tech, one-time payouts, and so forth.
We can make this group so much more interesting, and so much more realistic. Give the citizens more to do, let the citizens build political reputations, we could make this SO FUN, however, we need open-minded individuals that are enslaved to supporting only what they want, what their party wants, and what their favorite president wants.
We need to focus on the citizens, like Congress is meant to, not the executive branch. (I am not hating on Zeyad, but he has his branch to focus on, and we have ours as well.)
Communication is key. Let's ride on that, hmmm?
