Mr RonaIdWReagan,
Congressmen/Congresswomen,
And to whom it may concern,
One of the biggest ability -and granted power by the constitution of the United States- of the President of the United States is to discharge at will anyone who is working under his department. It is a frequent to abolish positions, discharge personnel or fire those who disrespect or aren’t abiding with the president’s or boss orders. It would basically prevent the president from doing his job, which is to lead the executive branch.
Have you seen a President/CEO of a company that had his right to fire/discharge people removed or restricted? Probably not, the people that are employed in his company or in this case branch, are fully aware that at any certain time they can be fired from their jobs for anything (except for a medical condition). It would be really destroying the reason of having a leader of a branch or of a company if they aren’t able to discharge the personnel that work FOR THEM.
Imagine if the director/president of an agency no longer has the ability to fire employees; how would they be able to exercise authority? The employees will no longer fear a loss of their jobs, and they will not give the same service as when they feared their employer. A fear of being dismissed or fired is a motivation for anyone to exceed in his task. That is how it works in America. I would like you to compare the American service in restaurants and hotels with for example the service in France. France has strict regulations for employers, they aren’t allowed to fire at will and they aren’t allowed to dismiss an employee who hasn’t performed to what they expect easily; it takes years of court and paperwork to fire an employee. On the other hand, if you look at the American way to treat employees, you don’t do your job well, you’re out, that’s how it works and that’s how Americans exceed at giving an outstanding service.
We have to keep the way we work now if we don’t want to end as a place like France.
We want to give the best service, and we want the best people in our agencies.
Thank you,
Lumidas, Vice President of the United States.

The bill still allows at-will, but now you can still question policies without worrying about being fired. Get back to inactivity, gab, and leave law to the active ones.

Totally understand where this is coming from, if congress restrict the at will doctrine its because they haven't been directors or in a position where they need to enforce authority.

Is it really smart to make a comment about France? |

You're wrong.
The president will still be able to fire people. But only for reasons that aren't illegal. So he can't fire them just because he has hate against them or for no reason at all.
That is violating our first amendment rights of petition, press, and speech and opinion.
So you may not have your own opinion even while off duty? Fu848;8ck politics, right?
Yeah this system is extremely corrupted and us workers deserve our constitutional rights. Without us, you guys wouldnt get any work done. |

Pikachu, you don't have a right to a job. If you are fired for being disrespectful or insubordinate your rights haven't been violated. |

You can't be violated for protesting it violates the amendments. |

Having a federal job doesn't mean I have my constitional rights revoked. All citizens if the United States aaer entitled to these rights.
Does it really make sense to get fired for supporting a petition that Zeyad didn't like? First amendment DOWN THE DRAIN.
Workers have rights you know. |

My family comes from France and I go to France every single year. It is in a terrible condition and all the freshmen leave the country to go study and work elsewhere. They have to reform their system. |

"The president will still be able to fire people. But only for reasons that aren't illegal. So he can't fire them just because he has hate against them or for no reason at all."
Have you even read the FEEA, pikachu? It clearly states that the President will no longer be able to remove or discharge federal workers, it's in the very first section.
"That is violating our first amendment rights of petition, press, and speech and opinion."
Irrelevant, lumidas did not posit anything of the sort, this is a red herring.
"So you may not have your own opinion even while off duty? Fu848;8ck politics, right?"
Once again, irrelevant, lumidas never posited that he wanted to fire people for having opinions, this is a straw-man.
"Yeah this system is extremely corrupted and us workers deserve our constitutional rights."
Fine, but you missed the entire point of this letter then.
"Without us, you guys wouldnt get any work done."
The argument could also be made that without them, you wouldn't have anywhere to work. |
