when i try to play a game, or even install roblox, this error comes saying "An error occurred while starting ROBLOX Details: HttpOpenRequest failed for GET http://setup.roblox.com/version?guid27392" if you search up the URL you get a blank page with the text "version-80d6e12d52f3422b". Help!

I tried to play through firefox and got that error. When I try to use chrome, the button just doesn't work. When I use Microsoft Edge, roblox just doesn't boot.

i wouldnt use microsoft edge, its got some serious memory leak going on, according to CCleaner

I had the same problem when using my other laptop, I just kept hitting OK and it let me play...

The update is being firewalled off by security software. You may have to disable it to play ROBLOX.

@sam I think it's actually some kind of internet safety issue and it's being blocked by some programs. For instance, there is one on my computer that is blocking roblox from upgrading, giving me this error.

Ignore sam's response. Without wasting your time, it doesn't work. Reinstalling doesn't solve this issue. Also bump.

I checked, and don't seem to have any internet software. I've also tried disabling the Windows Firewall, but still no success.

The ROBLOX help team does not seem to be responding about this problem.. My little brother can play ROBLOX on this same computer but it won't work for me. I think it's just time to conclude that we are on some kind of blacklist of untrusted members.

the details on the error box keep on changing. after the "version?guid" part the number changes. i think this is from other roblox update versions which will not install BUMP THIS SO ROBLOX WILL KNOW!
